Credo has terrible customer service. Do not recommend! I was added as a business partner and anything I need help with is always an issue. Their insurance is a joke. They gave me 250$ to replace an IPhone when the screen cracked. Wound up having to get a refurbished one. They are never helpful and right now I have been on hold for over 25 minutes! If it weren't because my business partner pays for the service there is no way I would have Credo. Even free I feel it is too expensive. They constantly make me feel humiliated whenever I need help because the account was not opened in my name yet it is my business that generates the income to pay the monthly bill. My husband has a month to month cell with T-Mobile and it's half the price, he gets awesome phone upgrades and they always help me with anything he needs since he is legally blind. Not even my phone and T-mobile helps me!

Three days of trying and my phone is still not activated
I have been trying to port my number in for three days. Very long wait times on hold to have someone answer and the call was dropped several times. Every time I called I had to start over; so far I have not been able to talk to a supervisor even though I was advised to do that when I finally thought to call the carrier I am switching from.
I wish I could stay with Consumer Cellular but ATT does not have as good coverage as Verizon in my area. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for ATT tower improvement and switch as soon as I can.

Another customer who's been sold out
To quote the previous reviewer: "I enjoyed supporting a progressive phone company but now with this experience I understand Credo has joined the greedinness of the world which they are supposed to be fighting." Just WOW.
We've been with Credo/Working Assets for over 30 years. Today, getting their assistance to port my "child" phone (secondary account) number over to another carrier took 5 hours and more than 20 phonecalls with Credo. They lied, they made excuses, they asked stupid questions, they read their political statement, and consistently hung up on us ALL DAY.
I feel used and taken advantage of because of my desire to donate to important causes - they have sold out their customers!

Screwed over after 12 1/2
After 12 1/2 years of being a loyal customer, Credo sided with their 1 star rating insurance carrier, Likewize. I tried for over a month to get my phone repaired with nothing but issues from Likewize. Credo would not help me. I enjoyed supporting a progressive phone company but now with this experience I understand Credo has joined the greedinness of the world which they are supposed to be fighting.

SPAM. They signed me up for their mailing…
They signed me up for their mailing list and it is impossible to be removed. I receive spam email every day. I never contacted this company.

It's several things
It's several things. seem to be more about helping their causes their customers. I'm being generous with one star, I need to slash my cell bill do up coming layoff/retirement and drop a line. The line I wanting to drop is what they claim to the main number and it can't be dropped. Maybe true , I call BS on this one. I tried to drop the "secondary" and keep the "primary " won't let me do that as well

Credo is a rip-off
Credo is a rip-off. Credo did not replace my phone when it was stolen. Although I have been a credo customer for more than 10 years and paid insurance on my phone in case of theft, it has been two weeks since my phone was stolen and they are still giving me the run around. Now they are telling me that the replacement phone that I was finally able to order, after a long ordeal and hours on the phone with different representatives and multiple "escalations" of my case, is on back order. When I paid for the replacement, they told me 3-5 business days. It has been a week and now they are telling me it's on "back-order". I feel completely disappointed and would not recommend CREDO to anyone. They are expensive and do not come through. Do not be fooled by the facade-- CREDO is a corporate and ruthless as every other carrier. Choose a more affordable one. CREDO is a fraud.

[update] Similar experiences to other reviewers' complaints
I posted a mostly negative review a few days ago. It was premature, because I was anxious about having to deal with may have turned into a customer's nightmare. I am pleased, instead, to report that Credo made good on the story as outlined below. Their customer service sent me a message with a case number and said to call. I made contact almost immediately upon calling, and the representative was both capable and pleasant. The issue was resolved, AND some assistance on a second unrelated issue was provided as well. They called me back to verify that things had progressed as requested.
So, I have to change my original 2 stars to 4 stars in light of Credo making good on this issue. I withhold one star because I am still a bit concerned about the initial website experience that led to the confusion. In spite of all the bashing here, at least some good stuff is coming out of the company.

========================
Wow, I am taken aback by all the negative reviews here, as I too have been a long-term Credo customer with no problems and only one (successful) customer service interaction (some 7 years ago). That said, I have just experienced a situation similar to several of the earlier complaints.
Specifically, I wanted to order a "new" device (actually a refurb) to replace my decrepit old one. I signed in as a current customer. During the shopping phase on their website, I looked at new options for data plans. My current plan is small at 3 GB (really?!) and I was getting dinged for going over the limit. It didn't matter if I opted to continue with 3 GB, or upgraded to 15, or 45, or unlimited. All of them were $70/mo (and that's a significant discount from my current charges). OK, change me to unlimited. I got an immediate acknowledgment of the change. Seems cool, yet this was "confusion point number one".
Next, I went on to find that new refurby. I found a plain vanilla one for about $500, so I decided to put in the order. This is where the tale gets twisted. After most of the buyer info was put in, I was asked if I wanted to keep my old number or get a new one. "Keep", of course. Then they asked for the current account number and PIN. Well, heck, they should have that, but okay I can go look for it in another open browser tab (mind you, my phone is very cranky from old age, like its owner). Somehow, after finding the info and navigating back to the original page, that page refreshed and took me ALL the way back to the beginning. Sigh.
Went through the process a second time. After reaching that spot that asks whether to keep the old number or not, I didn't even have the option to "keep" (it was grayed out). No fudging or replay would help. In retrospect, that's where I should have called it quits from "confusion point number two. But, I went through with the order.
To cut to the chase, that action resulted in a second LINE being opened and not just a new device. The hardware was delivered as expected, and I had to wait a couple days to get to opening the package. I ran into a number of other "confusion points" in trying to bring the new phone to life. The most poignant one, looking back, was that both phones seemed to be working at the same time. I found out 2 days later (by accident) that I did, in fact, have a new number.
So, my current situation is that I have tried to contact Credo, and I had ONLY the option to wait for a call-back. It has not occurred, even though I received an email acknowledging that it was scheduled "shortly". At least I know now that I will need to stay on top of the situation.
I fear the worst, given the other reviews shown below. I suspect that this organization is in deep business trouble and that it has recently (last 6 months?) cut short on its previously acclaimed customer service. With that in mind, I would recommend caution to anyone who is looking to sign on.
This experience has been even worse because at least one important communications app is also getting messed up due to the existence of a second unrecognized phone number (but that's another story).
