I paid 2250 for my master bedroom closet to be done by Closet by Design. I got nothing that was in the pamphlet. My 6-year-old grandson would have done a better job. My closets are open with nothing in the back, as the pamphlet shows all the closets with backing. This closet is hideous, and I will never tell anyone to go to closets by design. I reached out to the sales rep, and her response was to call the company. CLOSETS BY DESIGN ARE GARBAGE, AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE THAT I KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!! I thought I was getting my dream closet but instead, I got particle board covered with laminate that you can buy at any Walmart and the shelving is the same material GARBAGE

I was very disappointed with closets by design and with the person who sold me the sliding door Mr Nazare. I ordered a wood sliding door with dark color that matches my room. I was straight forward with my wish. Not only it took a long time to arrive but also the sliding door came with a sort of plastic, white color with a metallic design in the middle. The sliding door looked awful and I was shocked. The seller never showed me any picture how my sliding door would look like and he lied on the phone in front of his manager to save himself. He even lied more by stating that he talked to me about the metallic in the middle of the closet. Only lies and lies. Shame on him. He never mentioned anything of that sort otherwise I would have told him not to order the sliding door and would have ordered from another company. The sliding door was returned to rectify the color and to please me by adding kind of wood dark sticker on the kind of plastic door for 1600 US dollars. I was under shock and on the top of it I was told it is not refundable. Closets by Design is not a recommended company. Not client oriented and liars. Their only concern is to take your money and sell you cheap stuff. Be very careful when you deal with them. Something for sure, I will never never buy anything from them anymore. Closets by Design is amazing! My closets were wire shelving and not making good use of the space! My designer, Jessica S drew the perfect design, and I could tell my space was going to be totally maximized. It is!! The installers were very professional and clearly knew what they were doing. My closet looks even better than I could have envisioned, and I have so much more storage! 10* review

Closets by Design is by far the best! We researched other garage organization companies and none even came close to Closets by Design. It's worth paying a little extra for a quality job! We even had our pantry and linen closets done. We are so pleased! And the installers, Juan M and Jose E were absolutely Amazing; very knowledgeable, thorough, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure things were to our liking. Eva is definitely what made the experience great. Not knowing how this worked, I thought someone was just going to come in and measure…but Eva explained every step and gave me so much information from measuring through final design. I learned so much and I’m so excited for the next steps!

A Closet By Design customer, age 70, called me to demo her existing closet. When I arrived at her house, she showed me the plans for her new closet and laundry room, costing $6,000.00. CBD required a 50% deposit (against CA law), which she paid. CBD was also going to charge her an additional $300 for removing her existing closet. When I looked at her closet, the one I was going to demo, I discovered that simple modifications to her closet could provide the extra space she needed. The CBD designer told this customer that the existing clothing rods could not be moved, which was a blatant lie. CBD designed a new closet, almost identical to what she had but with the rods lowered, which was her main concern. An honest company would have told her a new closet unit was not required. I ended up modifying her closet by lowering the clothing rods for a better reach, and removing several shelves and a drawer for more space for clothes. I also repositioned other shelves and added several new ones. Labor and materials cost her only $405.00, $105 more than what the demo was going to cost. Further, CBD designed a unit for her laundry room which reduced her access to an exterior door to 22 inches, which is against the fire code. She canceled the contract on the 6th day and CBD has refused to refund her deposit because she canceled a day late, despite the issues noted above. When she told their manager, Jose, that I was going to post unfavorable reviews, he stated that he could hurt my business more than I could hurt their business. These people are bullies. This is a clear case of elder abuse, in addition to their unlawful request for more than a 10% deposit, the design of a new unit that was not needed, and a laundry room unit that would be a fire safety issue. They had an opportunity to do the right thing by returning her money, but they have so far failed to do so. By all means, stay clear of this company. They are not good people and they are unethical and take advantage of older people.

The designer Eva Santiago visited our home for two projects: the library and the media center. She carefully listened to our ideas, made the measurements, and showed us solutions for both projects. She had a significant positive attitude, and she was very professional. We are already on the schedule for the installation! Thank you, Eva.
