Cigna is a SCAM. I pay lots of money for this insurance that I can't even use. They used to be good, but they've gone downhill over the last few years. I used to only pay a $10 co-pay for some medication that I need to take. Then, it went up to $50 co-pay. Now, Cigna doesn't even cover this medication and it's nearly $1000 per month, in which I can't afford. This medication worked wonders for my condition & now I can't afford to take it. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE'S HEALTH. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY.

After paying $4,900 out of pocket in medical bills this year, today we learned that amount has NOT satisfied our $3,600 family deductible for our Cigna health insurance plan. A representative explained that both my husband and I have an "individual" deductible of $1,800 and we must each meet that deductible amount in individual expenses before our $3,600 deductible is met. This information was not detailed or explained anywhere in the documents when we were reviewing and considering plans before the year started. We deliberately chose this plan for this year due to my pregnancy and hospital bills for delivery. Now, we have paid a large amount out of pocket and according to Cigna, we have only met $1,900 of our deductible. A Cigna supervisor filed a complaint on our behalf today. We just want others to be aware and be careful that Cigna does not use "family deductible" the way that other insurance companies do. It's extremely surprising and frustrating not to have each of our claims paid go toward our combined deductible, regardless of which member of the plan the bill is for. In our situation, we would appreciate a credit from Cigna on our monthly premium to help rectify this situation. All that was stated in plan documents was "$1,800 (single)/ $3,600 (family)" deductible.

Horrible customer service in the vision side. It feels like these ladies answering the calls are force to be there. All they are trying to do is to collect a pay check I guessed. They are so unprofessional.

My husband was in CCU back in October of 2025. Cigna has paid the hospital bill but will not pay the CCU physicians fees where the CCU physician saw my husband virtually for three days. I have been calling Cigna for 6 months trying to get this resolved. Cigna is saying it is a billing error, however when the provider resubmits the claims, they deny the claims as a duplicate. The claims should be covered under the no surprises act regarding medical coverage as you do not get to choose what physicians sees you. This has been a very stressful situation for me and my husband.

Long wait times difficult tasks, call center has different answers when calling, I send the forms needed and then the sat im missing this form I paid for a service and I have to jump thru every hoop to get my benifits this is not right Cigna needs to get it together my bills are so behind and all you can say is we haven’t received it wait 10 more days call us back ahhhhhh,

kurzfristige Kündigung Ich habe am 06.06.2026 per Post einen Brief von CIGNA über die Nichtverlängerung meines CIGNA Dent Zahnzusatzversicherungsvertrags bekommen. Ich wurde von CIGNA informiert: „über ein wichtiges Update in unseren Geschäftssvorgängen und darüber, wie sich diese Neuerung auf Ihren Cigna Healthcare- Versicherungsvertrag auswirkt.“ Am 31.07.2026 wurde mein Vertrag ohne andere Vertragkonditionen oder Tarifangebote gekündigt. Ich hatte seit 2008 einen unbefristeten Zahnzusatzvertrag und war immer zufrieden mit CIGNA. Aber so schmeißt CIGNA seine Kunden, das ist einfach eine Unverschämtheit und respektlos.

Long claim processing time. The claims adjuster made a mistake on the address on the claim which caused the check to have to be voided and reissued. This takes three weeks to process.

worst healthcare company i've ever had. My Dr. thought i genuinely needed an MRI, yet i get a vague letter in the mail stating they want me to schedule like 4-5 other appointments with different things first before they'll officially approve my MRI, which will cost me an arm and a leg more money... which i believe very sincerely is meant to manipulate and dissuade me from spending the extra money so that they don't have to. Feels very corrupt. They give you a phone number in the letter to call if you have any questions or concerns, but don't direct or help you get in touch with the right person at all when you call their sad excuse for a letter. NO TRUST AND FEELS GREEDY.
