If I can give a negative star I would! I filed hospital care with Cigna Indemnity back in April, they paid me observation stay, but NOT my 5 days hospital stay. They sent a letter stating I can send them a UB-04 form or itemized bill which included everything they needed and still denied my documents. Honestly I would recommend CHUBBS life insurance and hospital indemnity insurance instead of Cigna!

Confusing process to file a claim. Website is the opposite of user frinedly. No clear phone numbers to call for specific issues. Just ambiguous options with automated responses. Taking several months to process claims causing extensive credit card interest and fees. One of the worst insurance companies I've ever dealt with.

Fueron 6 meses de lucha hasta que me rendí, CIGNA SIMPLEMENTE ES UN ESLAVON MAS DE LA CORRUPCIÓN, EL ÚNICO RECLAMO aprobado fue de una cita al minute clinic a "CVS" otros corruptos iguales, esta cita por un resfriado facturó $1,200 dólares a CIGNA, recuerden que entre ellos se facturan cantidades exorbitantes para sangrar al sistema, más $125 dólares out the packet, lo gracioso es que llame a CVS por una explicación de la factura y no la pueden explicar, solo repetían "es un acuerdo entre CVS & SIGNA por servicio, así nada más, FRAUDE ES LO QUE SON ESTAS DOS COMPAÑÍAS! Wish I could give Cigna a NEGATIVE 5. Auto-denials, insane amounts of paperwork, complaints have to be letters to a po box likely because C level knows they are universally hated. You “talk” to one useless person after another and now they want to cut rates or cut ties with UC Health, real top doctors and hospitals. It says it ALL. CIGNA is a low rent loser of a company. They are just so lucky that UHC is as bad or slightly worse. My new job offers BCBS and I accepted less salary to get rid of toxic CIGNA-rette that is CIGNA. They would let you die if they could.

I received a denial EOB for service stating the medical provider was out of network. This is a provider I have been using for years in-network, who received approval on treatment literally two weeks before. I call Cigna (btw, the most atrocious customer service on earth), they say "sir this is not denied. It is still pending". I ask "if this isnt denied, why am I holding a denial letter you mailed me?". Her response "I DONT KNOW". The customer service reps are extremely lacking of information, and refuse to transfer you to a manager when you ask. It's a brutally hopeless overseas call center where they have no intentions of ever helping.

Useless. Online says prescription is covered with prior Authorization. When you do apply for prior Authorization it's denied. But they can't tell you how to change the application so that it will be approved. They said that an alternate medication should be requested. I asked what the alternate medication would be. They gave me the same medication.

My Union has our dental w Cigna - My dentist submitted a claim for work to be done March 26. Waited 30 day & said they needed more info - which was sent the same day. Called back in May - still working on claim. Called in June - said they needed more info (whole mouth Xray) which was sent in May. Called today - June 29 & they asked for the whole mouth Xray again. Finally someone with 1/2 a brain looked & say they had everything they needed on May 12. Seems like a very unorganized comapny with idiots working on the claims

This review concerns my experience with the HealthSpring Medicare Supplement Plan. A premium payment from my bank account did not go through. Based on the information available to me, I believe the problem was largely on HealthSpring’s side. My policy was cancelled without any prior notice to me. Over the next two months, the reinstatement process was extremely frustrating. I was sent incorrect forms, then told additional forms were required, and at one point had to start the process over from the beginning. After all of that, my request was ultimately denied with what amounted to a one-paragraph response that offered no meaningful explanation or assistance. Overall, I found the customer service disorganized, unhelpful, and very disappointing. Differing explanations on different calls. My experience left me with little confidence in the company’s ability to resolve problems when they arise, or they actually care about their customers.
