Chewy.com is awesome. I had previously used Amazon, PetFoodDirect, Petmeds, etc... but the prices, shipping and customer service cannot be compared. Even if the price was higher elsewhere, it is usually about a $1 or $2 in difference, which in my opinion was worth giving up as their customer service and shipping are so reliable. I always order cat food in bulk (over $49.99) to save on shipping and they ALWAYS arrive by the 2nd business day. For other online stores who promises the same delivery, they always failed by being a day or two late. I have to follow a strict monthly budget so I need to have my pet food on time or else I'll have to drive to Petsmart and spend the extra gas/money on the same brand. This website have a very good deal on Nylabones ($7 for a large Nylabone) so I would toss that in the order to be included as part of the free shipping. In regard to the customer service, 5 stars are not enough. I never had a complaint mainly because, well, what is there to complaint about if delivery was on time and I get exactly what I ordered? The only time I contact them is if I made a mistake of ordering or forgot to order something and wanted to add it on to the package. Unlike other websites, such as Overstock.com, who require you to cancel the ENTIRE order before it was shipped and start over again, Chewy.com will add it on for you right away as long as the shipment has not been send out. Another thing I love about this company is that they are very understanding. Although you can return your items and they would pay for your shipping (Again, not many company reimburses you for shipping on refund items), Chewy had actually allowed me to keep the items and refunded my money. For example, I purchased a $50 cat tree but my cat decides not to even go near it. Chewy.com refunded my money back and only asked that I donate the cat tree to a local shelter or rescue. Again, which company (Online or instore) does that? If there are any complaints from other customers, I do not know why or what it could possibly be. They are extremely easy to reach if you have any questions (I used the online chatroom and never had to wait longer than 3 seconds for a live person to respond). The only thing I wish they had was Diamond Naturals dry food for dogs (The large 40 lb bag). They do not carry it, which is understandable as most stores and online sites do not have it either.

I ordered my pet food and treats on a Tuesday night after business hours online and they were at my door via free shipping by Friday at 10am. Definitely fast and free and even their flat rate of 5.95 if you have to pay for shipping is half of PetFoodDirect. Their prices were Also 5 dollars cheaper on his premium food and 50 cents cheaper on his treats than any other site that I usually order from. I will be ordering from the, from now on.

The prices are always less than I can find locally or on other websites. Also, the "free shipping" orders arrive quickly and are always packaged really well. I am more than impressed with this company. I've been ordering for about a year and never once had to contact them with an issue. The quality control and pride in their service and commitment to your pet shines through. They almost seem like family, and I trust them and enjoy receiving my orders because they are packaged so well that it's like unwrapping a gift. I highly recommend them.

Aside from having the cheaper price of the dog food I feed my dog's the customer service is top notch.

I had two orders in a row of cat litter packed so poorly that UPS actually threw the last shipment away at their call center. After complaining that my order hadn't arrived I tracked the packed and saw in the UPS notes that they had discarded the package due to it coming apart or leaking! I let Chewy know and they told me they would ship a replacement out for a 2-3 day delivery. That didn't happen and when I brought it to their attention and asked for a full refund (just $35) they offered me a 15% discount. I won't be back.

products and fast, free shipping ... who knew? Sadly, my husband passed away this summer so it's now "Mom's" turn to take care of our 4 rather large dogs, and I'm no Spring chicken. Purchasing, loading, unloading, etc., multiple 40 lb. bags of the premium food from the big box store proved a daunting chore. A neighbor (who also cares about quality pet nutrition) turned me on to Chewy ... yippy skippy! Not only can I buy excellent food, but it's delivered right to my garage in much easier to manage bags! Thanks, Chewy!

I have always bought my food from the big chain pet stores but wellness food never goes on sale. Of course with my luck thats all my dog will eat. I go online and see the great prices they had on wellness and the free 1-2 day shipping guarantee! I was sold, I did not do they automatic order because this was my test run and let me tell you they did great!! They sent me an email to track my order, I received my dog food today it is perfectly packaged and they even put paper filling so that it wouldn't rip on the way here. I am very happy and will always recommend chewy.com for anybody with Pets

We had just found out that our male cat had to be put on a prescription urinary diet. The food we were feeding our cats was expensive already, and this was even more money. I had always bought prescription cat food at a vet's office, but searched around to find a better option. Chewy.com kept coming up in my online searches. I saw they had great reviews, but more importantly, the food was $15 cheaper than at our vet!! I thought maybe it was a typo? (it wasn't) The online ordering process was easy, and I decided to go with the automatic shipments so I wouldn't have to worry about going through this every month. They discounted the food even more when you do the auto ship, so bonus right there! I received an email from them stating they had tried to contact our vet, and were awaiting the prescription from them. Well, I had an issue previously with our vet, trying to get a prescription for an online pet pharmacy, so I called Chewy.com - at 10pm actually - and received a friendly, knowledgeable customer service rep. She told me they had tried to reach out to the vet, and told me that they would accept the prescription by fax or email, so the order wouldn't be held up even longer. Since the food hadn't shipped yet, I was able to add on a couple of pet food bowls to replace some that had broken. (Once again, better pricing!) Did not have to pay another shipping charge, she just added it to the order. Yay! My vet tried to tell me that nobody ever contacted them. Well, I have not been very thrilled with this office lately, due to some of the administrative incompetence, and I believe Chewy.com did indeed contact them and they were making excuses. They wouldn't fax over the script, I had to drive over to pick it up. I emailed a scan of the prescription, and received a confirmation shortly afterwards (even though it was on a Saturday). I was starting to worry that I was going to run out of food before the delivery came, and called up customer service, to see if I could somehow expedite the shipping and pay extra. The rep told me that they ship the food direct from the manufacturer's warehouses, which they have all over the country, so it usually only takes 2 days to receive the order. Turns out one warehouse was an hour or so away from us, and I received the order within 2 days! Our bowls came separately, and I wasn't in such a hurry for those. Everything came packed well. Ceramic bowls were bubble wrapped. Food was intact. I have been telling friends who have pets to check out Chewy.com, because of the great experience I had with them. I'm also happy to support a company in Fort Lauderdale, where we had previously lived! Seeing some of these other reviews - like the one whose dog passed away and he had to cancel an autoship, and he received a sympathy card from customer service---- all I can say is WOW. Other companies should take note of how Chewy.com does business.
