I never go out of my way to leave a review, but this company has shown me over and over again what exceptional customer service looks like. My 4yo dog passed away very unexpectedly and we had just received an auto ship order. Chewy refunded the entire order (including food for my other dog) and told us to donate it to a shelter in my pup's name. On top of that they sent a personalized card and bouquet of flowers. Never have I ever had such good customer service that I actually cried. Then most recently I had ordered a sweater that didn't fit and I wanted to exchange it. They no longer had the right size in stock and refunded it and told me to donate that to a shelter as well.

Chewy is a real class act. We were not frequent customers, but we sure will be from this point forward. Recently, I make my first purchase and ordered from Chewy several hundred dollars of medications and supplements for our elderly and sick dog. Before we received the shipments days later, my wife made the agonizing decision to save our beloved dog from further suffering. Several days after the packages arrived, my wife called Chewy to ask about any return policy under the circumstances. Remarkably, Chewy's customer service representative advised my wife that there was no need to return the products. She told my wife that our account would be credited the full amount of the purchase, and we should donate the products to a shelter or other place that would give us peace. That was just awesome, and it reflects the generous and compassionate heart of this Corporate Citizen. But wait; there is more. The other day I looked outside the front door and there was a box addressed to my wife. She opened the box and, to her delight, there was a dozen beautiful, long-stem roses and a card from Chewy sending condolences for the loss of our cherished dog. That is just priceless. I applaud Chewy. It expected nothing and Chewy did so much. Certainly, Chewy is invested in the smallest customer it serves. That is truly special in this day and age. Thank you, Chewy.

They’ve changed the edit order policy. Without the ability to edit your order the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee is no longer real. I’ve canceled all future orders and will never shop on this site again.

Sadly I had to return some items that didn’t work out for us so I contacted customer service to discuss my options. To my surprise they told me I could donate my items to a local shelter vs sending items back. This is truly a testament to how great this company is and how they honestly care about pets. This was my first time shopping with chewy but I can assure you they have a customer for life!

Ordered one item, no problem, it said it shipped and would be at my house in three days, perfect timing for what I needed it for. Arrival day came, no item. Finally found the Fed-ex link, it says they never even received it to ship. I called customer service, they were going to look into it and call me back as soon as they had information. Instead I got an email the next day saying they shipped another one, without even applying fast shipping, so it wouldn't get here for another three days, way too late. This was a chick brooder, to replace my old one that gave out unexpectedly, so timing is vital. Now I'm having to use a heat lamp - serious fire hazard and not good for the chicks. I cancelled the order, but they say they can't even get me a return label for the one they shipped for TWO WEEKS, and won't refund my money until after they get the one they shipped back. The item, with slow shipping, takes three days... but a label takes two weeks? I ordered from a reliable company, and won't be wasting my time with Chewy again.

Chewy.com is excellent. I have been ordering dog food and supplies for years. In the couple of incidents over the years where something arrived damaged, their customer service was fantastic.
