Terrible customer service. They made it impossible to switch the size of a dog collar I ordered. And would not cancel the order. I realized my mistake within minutes of ordering and they said it had already shipped out

Competitive prices, easy-to-use and awesome customer service
Chewy has great customer service. Not even "for an online retailer;" the Chewy customer service I've experienced convinced me to take my business from Petsmart (where my family and I have shopped for decades) to Chewy alone. My family has also gotten on board since the prices are so competitive and the autoship is so easy to use.
I had a missing product in my first package, and Chewy representatives got me my product within the week, and with an apology! My packages have all been flawless since. I'd highly recommend Chewy for anyone on a budget or just looking for an easier way to purchase high-quality pet goods.

Lack of responsibility for delivery
I have ordered from chewy and made one special request and instruction that I needed the package to be put inside the gate house for delivery. We have a private secured driveway with a private security gate and a gatehouse outside the gate so that packages can be delivered securely. I instructed chewy multiple times about putting the package in the gate house. They use FedEx to deliver and no one puts it in the gate house. They leave the package on the driveway someone drives by and steals it I contact them and tell them the instructions clearly stated that it needs to be put in the gate house. They take no responsibility for this. They suggest I contact FedEx and tell FedEx the instructions. However when you contact FedEx they don't let you give instructions for chewy packages. Those instructions have to come from chewy. The delivery guy throws the package over the fence over the gate onto the driveway. You open the package all of your liquids are exploded inside the box. When to his left there is a gate house a small building with a door a door knob you open it and you put the package in the gate house The instructions are very clear however these people are so stupid they won't contact FedEx and give them the instructions they received on their website in writing from my own person. When I contact you about this problem they take no responsibility for it and want me to instruct FedEx FedEx does not take my instruction this is what's called a continuous circle of irresponsibility. So unless you live in the city and can have the package put right in front of your ring doorbell do not order from these donkeys. It only works if you live in the city. The part that makes me the most upset is their lack of responsibility for making sure the instructions to the delivery company are good. After you contact them and point out their stupidity then they decide that we deleted your account. So if you don't let them deliver the way they want to they don't want your business. There are other places online you can get things for your animals. I recommend anyone but chewy.

BEYOND INCREDIBLE CUST SERVICE
I ordered topical flea medicine for my little pups from Chewy recently and even though I don't see any fleas or flea dirt, they're still itching so I emailed them today asking what they recommend I do. They replied right away offering to refund/replace with something else and at the end of the email they wrote "Please give Lucy and Poppy our Love" (not knowing we have Dobby now and Lucy passed away). I replied thanking them for the wonderful customer service and letting them know we said a sad goodbye to Lucy in December and introduced Dobby for their records. They replied with the MOST HEARTWARMING email. It made me happy cry it was so sweet! If there's any company that deserves a shout out, it's #chewy. My heart is fully touched! ❤
They wrote:
"Hi there Erin,
First and foremost, on behalf of all of us at Chewy, we send our deepest condolences your way. Dogs come into our lives, leave paw prints on our hearts, and we're forever changed by the memories they leave. We know it can help to talk to other folks who can relate so always feel free to reach out. We're here for you now and we'll be here in the months and years ahead as you have time to heal from this loss.
Here at Chewy, we know our animals aren't just pets, they're family. This is never a small or easy task, but remember that Lucy hated seeing you down and would do anything in their power to cheer you up. I hope you keep the fondest memories close to your heart and dedicate a smile to your beloved Lucy.
If there’s anything you need, please reach out to us day or night. We're always here, even if you just need to talk to someone.

Best Customer Service Ever
I have never had a problem with their customer service, ever! I have had trouble with fedex busting up the packages but I’ve called and chewy’s customer service workers are so nice and so helpful, I have never appreciated customer service workers like them. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with everything you order from them

I am very disappointed in the customer…
I am very disappointed in the customer service w Chewy.com. I have had no luck renewing my dogs pain meds. All Chewy.com seems to be concerned about is having an order placed, not about the customer actually receiving the product. I am not using this company in the future.

Just bad. Really bad.
They entered the information about my dogs prescription into their database incorrectly and refused to correct it, telling me I had to get a new one. Well I did, and took it to a different provider.

Exceptional Customer Service
My 15year old dog passed away this week. I called Chewy to see if I could return a bag of food that was never opened. They immediately credited my credit card for the food and sent me flowers in sympathy for the loss of our beloved dog, Willy. I am incredulous of this kind gesture.
