I used to love Chewy. They were prompt with shipping and things arrived undamaged. Now I don't love Chewy. I've had numerous packages containing badly damaged contents: canned cat food with more than half the cans dented and even crushed - totally unusable, bags of cat litter that have leaked out (a lot!) in their shipping box, damaged and partially opened bags of dry cat and dog food.... Recently, I moved. My first order after moving arrived alright but my second order was sent to my old address, after I had deleted that address from my account. I had to drive 90 minutes to retrieve it and it was unpleasant to have to ask for it. Customer "service" has been absolutely useless. I emailed and person told me they'd look into it, but didn't. Mostly their reply consisted of over the top exclamations of how much they love pets and exhorting me to post pictures of mine. Which, frankly bothered me. The next day I got another email from them with nothing in it except several paragraphs (not about the problem) but soliciting even MORE enthusiastically about sending pet photos. I find this unnervingly creepy.

I've been using Chewy for going on 10 years. The one time I had a problem with an autoship order, the customer service rep was friendly, eager to help and I was beyond satisfied with the outcome. I see a lot of negative reviews on here for shipping times, but I suspect they are suffering from problems with the shipping companies, like most businesses these days. I've not had any problems with shipping so far.

Back in August 2021, my little dog died, and your representative was incredibly kind. I was going to request to return some unopened kidney diet food, and she refunded my order and said to donate the food. I did that, and another family was able to use it. I thought that was wonderful. I was astonished when a few days later, flowers arrived at my door from Chewy. That was so kind, at such a difficult time. My little dog was my sole covid companion, and it brings tears to my eyes to remember holding her as her spirit left her little body at the vet. Thank you so much to Alexandria, and all of you at Chewy. I tell my friends about this. When I get a new dog, I will be back at Chewy. The service is always fast, prices good, and selection excellent.

Been using Chewy for a few years and they have consistently been over the top with being helpful, great pricing, great communication and super fast shipping. Their customer reps are always so nice, they are the absolute best to deal with !!!

Chewy Locked down my account making it so orders wouldn't go through. There was no reason for the order failure other than "Opps, something went wrong" Several calls to customer service did nothing to alleviate the issue. Ended up being a waste of my time and will be yours if you get this message.

I can’t say how blown away I was at Chew’s customer service today. I have been ordering my dog food from Chewy for awhile now and they were wonderful to deal with as I have never had any issues with my orders. Today, I called the customer service line as my dog recently had past away and I spoke to representative K who was unbelievably sympathetic and super nice. I asked him if I could return the unused dog food as we had just received the order when my dog past and he said please do not worry, we will refund your order back to you. I was surprised at the response and how sympathetic they were at the situation. It is nice to know that companies like this still exist and provide such great customer service. Thank you K (Safari) for being such a great person.
