I have been using Chewy.com for many years. Most recently I was ordering my dog's prescription dog food from Chewy using the Autoship program. Long story short, my account was compromised and a shipment was made prior to me needing it. Two weeks later, I had my 15-year old chihuahua euthanized. "Pebbles" was a little bundle of joy and I miss my girl. I never opened the bag of dog food. I contacted Chewy a few weeks after Pebbles crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The next day, I received a lovely card and a beautiful vase of flowers from Chewy. It was so thoughtful and this act of kindness warmed by heart. Chewy also refunded me for the dog food and I will be donating it to a local shelter. Thank you Chewy for showing that you understand how pet owners feel about their pets - they are family members and they leave us way too soon. Your customer service is exemplary and you are appreciated. 10 STARS

My husband and I are still in awe of the remarkable service and kindness we received from Chewy employees. Our 15 year old Yorkie-poo had become critically ill over a short period of time. Unfortunately he passed two days after we had ordered a refill of his heart meds. I called their pharmacy hoping to cancel the Delivery - just couldn’t deal with it arriving. They not only cancelled delivery, but they reversed it so the medicine did not get Delivered here. Everyone I spoke to offered the most heartfelt and kind remarks - and processed our refund. A few days later we received a sweet condolence card from them. Yesterday a beautiful bouquet was delivered to our door along with a lovely note. This company and everyone I’ve talked to is incredible. We had purchased toys, food and drugs from them and never expected such kindness. In this current world of no customer service they are the complete package - a real role model. Should we ever adopt a new dog, Chewy will be the first and only pet company we use. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Great service, quality products, wonderful experience

I'm sad to give them a bad review, because they're usually so great when my mom orders from Chewy for her cats. My experience was completely different. My billing address is different than my shipping address, so they asked me to verbally confirm, which I understood and happily called to give them the info. Then I called another 3 times because they kept requesting that I confirm. It's been four days now. The third time I called, they finally informed me that the issue happened because my purchase was over $100 on my first order. Weird rule, but I was happy to oblige once that bit of info was actually communicated to me. After being promised that my issue would be sent to a supervisor to take care of, I immediately received an e-mail saying my shipment was delayed. My cat was diagnosed with Colitis recently, and most of what I ordered was food/supplements to ease his pain, so I needed this to be a quick and easy transaction. Once the supervisor called me, she said that she needed to speak to my boyfriend, as it was his name on the card- again, that's fine, but it took several calls and so much investigating/leg work for someone to tell me they just needed to talk to him. I said I'd call the supervisor back when he's home, but instead, I went on Amazon and found the exact same products and they'll be here by the end of the day. Migraine gone.

So I have been a loyal customer of Chewy's for many years. They have seen me through numerous pet's illnesses and were always very helpful when having to return items due to my dog or cat not liking the food. This is very important to me since I've had cats and dogs with CKD and cancer and they become extremely finicky. My last experience left me feeling unappreciated as a customer and I will be taking my business elsewhere. A returned order was not received and they cannot find a record of the return. Unfortunately, I do not have the tracking number or email for proof. Yes, shame on me for not keeping this documentation. However, at this point, it is not about the $$. The return was $50 and I spend an average of $1000 a month on food and medication for my 6 cats and 2 dogs (4 out of the 8 have medical issues). The point is my loyalty as a customer and my monthly expenditures with their company did nothing to give me a credit based on my word that I sent the box. If I was out to make money on the deal, I would have said I sent back $200 worth of food, not $50. I hate being called a liar and I will gladly take my business elsewhere. Chewy used to have awesome customer service however the "work from home" mentality in today's service industry has ruined some really good customer service.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have a cc I use to pay and I put money in the acct the day before my shipment so that I don’t have anyone taking a bunch of money. They decided to ship my order 3 days early and caused me to get fees on my acct. i contacted them and they said they like to ship early. I said you didn’t have my permission to charge my card. They basically said oh well. Sorry about your extra fees and have a good day

My first and only experience with chewy was so bad. Chewy failed to contact me about a discrepancy with my name on a prescription. Just canceled my order without saying a word. When I called and asked about it I was told "the doctor did not approve the prescription". Complete and blatant lie. I attempted to reorder. They spelled my name wrong. I fixed that with them. Customer service was snappy, uncaring and completely missleading with the time frames they give on when you will get your medications. I was now trying to get this medication from them for a whole month. I found the medication elsewhere and I will never use chewy again. Thanks for wasting my time. Bad. Just bad.

We lost our little fur baby 3 days ago. I called and canceled her auto meds and told them that she had past away. That afternoon a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a heart felt card was at our door. Chewy is such an easy company to work with for shopping and returns. We really appreciate them and thank them for the flowers and heart felt well beings.
