Angela Rasheed was the worst provider I have ever encountered.
I went to cerebral because I was desperate to find a psychiatrist who could help me navigate my depression. Last year I lost a pregnancy at 6 months and have not been able to bounce back. I am a nurse and have been working covid units, which has been really hard and definitely not helped my depression. I’m so busy that the convenience and specialization of cerebral appealed to me. I called and the intake provider I spoke with was really great, but after opening up to her and talking for 45 minutes I found out that I would not be talking to her again and that cerebral would be assigning me a different provider. I initially signed up for meds and therapy but the process of getting an appointment with a therapist was miserable. I paid for weekly appointments but couldn’t schedule an appointment with a therapist that I felt like could connect with that MONTH (I was looking for a woman with some experience or focus on my issues - really shouldn’t be a huge ask). After going back and forth a ton I finally decided to pursue therapy elsewhere but thought I’d try the psychiatry team because my intake provider was so good. Well, talk about a bait and switch. The provider I ended up getting assigned to (over six weeks later), ANGELA RASHEED, was literally the worst provider I have ever encountered — and I work in an enormous hospital with hundreds and hundreds of doctors, PAs and NPs. She was insulting, hostile, arrogant and unkind. She would cut me off every other word. I swear I didn’t finish one sentence. It was awful. I reported what happened and asked that our call be reviewed. They apologized and offered me an appointment with another provider but guess when I can see her? The end of May! (It’s mid-April now). If you are reading this review because you need help managing your depression, please heed my warning and seek help elsewhere. I spent 10x more time trying to schedule appointments than I did receiving services. It was stressful and disappointing. I left feeling shamed, insulted and unheard. I would never treat my patients this way. I am also 100% convinced that the majority of the positive reviewers are fake. There is literally no way someone could like this service. They offered me 30% off to stay. Honestly if I was getting paid for using this service it would still be too expensive.

Hi Caitlin, I really appreciate you taking the time to share this experience with us. I can see how this would have been distressing, and it is disappointing to hear that you faced these difficulties. This certainly isn't the standard we hope to set. In any event, I would like to help make things right. If there is anything I can do to repair the situation, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can reach me at (415)403-2156 or [email protected], and ask for me. I am happy to help in any way I can. Best, Molly V. Cerebral Coordinator
