Despicable Billing Practices
Horrible, horrible, horrible company that's robbing its customers blind with no regard for actual mental health. I had been seeing the same therapist for years, and then, one day, Cerebral removed the professional from their platform. I received no prior notice and no communication about the changes, and they would not refund me for the unused session I had already paid for.
Support was of no help, insisting that when I signed up, I agreed to pay the subscription fee "regardless of whether services were used or not," which is incredibly dishonest and unfair, as I was unable to "use the services" because of a lack of communication on their part. Had I received communication of a change in a therapist (which seems pretty important in a mental health setting, or any healthcare setting for that matter...in what respectable medical setting would you all of a sudden switch a therapy patient from one therapist to another without ANY NOTICE WHATSOEVER???), I would have canceled my subscription well before so I wouldn't have been unnecessarily charged for services I am UNABLE to use.
The lack of understanding and consideration has been extremely distressing, adding to existing mental health issues and emotional and financial stress, which Cerebral was supposed to help solve. The sudden inability to even contact my therapist, with whom I've built trust and rapport, is mentally distressing and incredibly disruptive as part of my care.

Negative experience
I did not have a positive experience with Cerebral. My therapist was insensitive and unprofessional. I can see how some could benefit and get lucky with a therapist, I do advocate for easy access to mental health help, but I do not recommend them after what I have experienced.

I was surprised how well I connected…
I was surprised how well I connected with Katrina my prescriber. I feel she truly understood where I was coming from when I explained to her in brief detail of my past and present. She would make a great psychiatrist. She prescribed my meds and we will see how it goes. See her again in a month. Thank you Katrina and Cerebral.
