Cerebral helped me during a tough time.

My provider is wonderful. She is thorough, thoughtful, and just amazing. The care team is also great any time I have questions. I have already recommended Cerebral to several friends.

Overall, my experience has been a mixed bag. I signed up and it took over a month to see or talk to anyone, so the promotional month was a joke because I paid $30 for zero services rendered. My prescriber has been awesome, she's always punctual and I feel that she genuinely cares about my treatment plan. I was placed on Strattera for ADHD and I've noticed great results so far. My only issue is that usually she's booked over a month in advance and it is currently 2 months out for my next check-in. I'm paying for monthly check-ins, so... again, paying for no services rendered. My care counselor is a whole other issue. I've yet to meet her. She's cancelled/no-showed three times, two of those with no notice. I get generic apologies and offered to reschedule to the next month only to repeat the cycle. I have insurance but with the pandemic, there's a long wait, so this service is purely out-of-pocket (aside from medication) because I was under the assumption that it would be quicker to get the help I wanted only to discover the long, long waits AFTER they took my payment. Is it a bad service? No, it's professional and helpful when you get to someone, but I think they grew faster than they expected and can't provide the level of service they advertise. I keep giving them a chance even after they've dropped the ball several times, so they're doing something right. However, in all honesty, if you have an insurance provider that provides mental health services, just go with them. You'll have to wait either way, but you won't be out the extra money. I've spent about $250 for only two prescriber visits, so it's not entirely the most affordable route like they suggest.

I wouldn't call Cerebral cheap unless you have insurance. It's more average without. With consultations and meds, I pay $30/month with insurance ($85 without) not including the cost of the medications. This jumps to $135/month ($325 without insurance) if you do therapy and meds or $99/month ($259 without insurance) if you do just therapy. I had to wait 3 weeks to see a provider, and I'm waiting just over a month between check ins. That being said, this beats many experiences I hear from people having a harder time finding in-person appointments with mental health care providers. I like the NP I worked with, and I'm happy that I'm receiving care at my own convenience.

My prescriber cares. She understands why I’m feeling the way that I do, and honestly wants to help. I have never felt more heard than when I am talking to her during our appointments. I have put off helping myself for so long because every time I would go in to the clinic I wasn’t listened to, or was told I was overreacting. Thanks cerebral and my amazing prescriber for assisting me towards the betterment of my mental health.

I was struggling very badly with my adhd and depression. It was hard for me to take time off of work to physically be able to go into a doctors office and then I found cerebral. I chose the plan that best suited my needs and picked my care counselor and have a prescriber that fit to me. They actually treat me like a person instead of just a patient and made it so much easier for me to get the help I needed and sources to manage my symptoms. Cerebral is everything I have been looking for to help me in the ways I needed.

Cerebral is good, but not great. I love the access but only having an appt once a month doesn’t seem very helpful.

I signed up and paid $80 with a holiday pricing discount. The first week I had no response from my therapist after writing about the issue I was going through. The next week, my therapist scheduled a video chat, only to cancel it the day of, citing that her license would not allow her to take another client in my state (Texas). Then suddenly my support counselor disappeared and I was given someone else who never responded to my inquiries. I tried to sign up with another therapist but could not. I contacted customer service 11 (yes eleven) times. Each time was an automated reply with no help. I called 3 times and spoke to someone once. I asked for a refund because I had not received any services from Cerebral. They refused UNTIL I let them know they had not followed what was promised to me for the money I paid. I wasn't receiving any counseling and no other services were offered. Finally, after a week, they returned $24 to me. It's better than nothing, but what an awful experience for someone who was already depressed and having anxiety. This is not a helpful company and could further damage your mental state.
