Talk therapy is worth it, prescriber is not
The talk therapy experience was fine for my first session. However the prescriber experience was awkward, I explained my previous experiences with medication and what I currently take and I kind felt like they were asking me like "what meds you want?* Well I don't know, isn't that what you all are supposed to guide me on? And they stated that they can't give you meds that you currently take Because they are controlled, I was caught off guard because I was hoping for the price I am paying without insurance I could use cerebral as a one stop shop because the hardest part about addressing mental health In our country is lack of available and educated resources, what use does this service provide me if I'm treated like another number to prescribers or judged as a drug addict because the meds my doctor has for me are controlled. It's very frustrating, I like what cerebral is trying to do but we all are not quite there yet
