I was disappointed with my experience using CarEdge. I requested a refund but was told I was outside of a 72-hour refund window. I couldn't find this policy on my invoices, in the FAQ, or anywhere within my account or billing settings. I later learned it was only listed in the Terms of Use, which is not where most customers would reasonably expect to find an important refund policy.
The website was also frustrating to use. It frequently crashed, timed out, and failed to save my searches across multiple browsers (Edge, Chrome, and Safari). While searching for vehicles within a 50–200 mile radius, many dealerships were missing from the results, making the search feel incomplete. When I contacted customer support, they were unable to resolve the issues or offer much assistance.
I was also disappointed to learn that the AI Negotiator is a separate paid service and is not included in the $99 membership. Based on the marketing, I expected a more streamlined and efficient car-buying experience. Instead, I spent a significant amount of time searching multiple websites, comparing prices, and doing much of the research myself. Overall, the service did not provide the value or convenience I expected, and I would have appreciated greater transparency regarding both the refund policy and what was included with the membership.

Excellent service
Joe H. at Caredge helped me so much by finding the right vehicle for me in a short period of time and setting up the lease. Needing the vehicle was unexpected and Caredge helped with saving money and time. Much appreciated Joe and Caredge!

I began the process being assigned to…Debbie Collins
I began the process being assigned to Debbie Collins and then she assigned the account to Joe Hoffman who did the car finding and negotiation.
Debbie had great suggestions on selling my prior vehicle and Joe was outstanding in locating a "needle in a haystack" of a to be paused Lexus model that had very rare allocation and no used vehicles available.
Vey impressed overall with caredge.

While watching YouTube videos can help…
While watching YouTube videos can help a person prepare to purchase a vehicle, how often do people purchase one? Once every 4-6 years? I didn't want to experiment with how much I remembered from the videos when negotiating our purchase nor did I want to spend a full day at a dealership doing this so I retained CarEdge to negotiate for us and it was the best $999 dollars I've spent.
First, they helped us find the car. Second once we found the car, they negotiated the terms of the agreement for us. While negotiating we were in constant contact with our CarEdge rep, Anthony in our case, and completed prior to going to the dealership to do the test drive. Third, because everything was negotiated before we arrived, and we had copies of the documents that the dealer had, none of the documents to be signed at the dealership were foreign to us. Because the sale was negotiated prior to arrival we were only at the dealership for two hours. It would have been less had the dealership had more finance people working that day. Finally, Anthony, our last rep (CarEdge provided us with two) was available whenever we had questions. We never had to wait for him.
Those considering using this service should know that they will receive two reps to assist them with their purchase. At least we did. This fact is something that CarEdge can do a better job of sharing with new customers because I didn't know this at first. The first person who'll reach out to you will be the person assigned to help you find the car you want. In our case that was Collette and she was great. Once you find your car, then the second person, Anthony in our case, negotiates the deal. Again I didn't know at the beginning that this was the flow so I had a couple of hiccups because of this ignorance. But if you know this going in, and if CarEdge makes it a point in the future to make sure potential clients know this at the beginning, the experience will be great! Anthony was also great for us!

Done with Nissan and its crappy…
Done with Nissan and its crappy dealers. I moved to Pullman, WA in early 2025 with my 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. For decades I've purchased my vehicles new and have taken them to dealers for all service, including routine oil changes/inspections. The closest Nissan dealers with service are in Coeur d'Alene and in Spokane. I work, so it's best if I can have routine oil changes/service done on a Saturday. It wasn't exactly convenient to have to drive 90 miles to get any work done, but that was my choice and commitment to get vehicle work completed by a dealer and have continuity of repair and service records. I started using the CDA dealer (Coeur d' Alene Nissan), and after three visits I said never again. The reason? It consistently took them THREE HOURS to perform routine service on what was virtually a brand-new vehicle. I could understand a one-time aberration, but it seems that is standard operating procedure. I'd already invested a three-hour round-trip from Pullman to get the car maintained, but six-plus hours was too much. Oh, and on one of those return trips from the CDA service I discovered the washer fluid was dry. If they did not check the washer fluid, what other more critical things did they overlook in their self-promoted "exceptional" vehicle service? On to Spokane and Wendell Nissan. These guys were more in line with getting service done in a timely manner (about an hour). On my third visit to have routine service just a few weeks ago, I was informed the car was in great shape but needed brake fluid replacement and that an axle seal was leaking and needed to be replaced. The axle seal was covered by the vehicle powertrain warranty, but I would have to bring the car back (again, 90 miles one-way) to Spokane to have it done on a weekday (take a vacation day off from work). I said okay, let's get both things done, I will take a day off and have the work completed. I arrived at Wendell to drop the car on the morning of the appointment, made arrangements to make the most of my day in Spokane (using Uber to get around), and get a message mid-morning from Wendell telling me they can't complete the warranty work. Why? THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE NECESSARY PARTS. WTF. I just invested a day off, the 180 mile round trip and some thumb-twiddling downtime BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE DIDN'T KNOW AHEAD OF TIME WHAT WAS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE JOB? Now I'm facing taking yet ANOTHER DAY OF TIME OFF, another 180-mile round trip just because you people screwed up. They service guy, Josh, tried to soften the blow by reducing the costs of the other work done, but it was a token gesture. He said he would contact me to reschedule once the necessary parts came in. Have I heard from him since, even after calling to ask about the status (he was "busy with another customer" when I called)? NO. Nothing. Zero, zip, zilch. Like CDA Nissan, Wendle Nissan service SUCKS. Never again. And I plan to get rid of this Pathfinder and NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH NISSAN AGAIN, PERIOD. I'm done.

Regretted sepnding $99 on CarEdge Pro
I paid $99 to join CarEdge Pro and picked a used Mazda CX-5 that I found on a dealership's website in New York. I got a subsequent email that they were working on getting me the best OTD price. That was May 2026. As of this writing (July 2026) I have not heard a word back from them. I tried going on the site to obtain a status but ONLY got a boilerplate response that someone would get back to me. Being on a limited income, that was clearly the worst $99 I could have spent.

Concierge service was awesome
I bought the concierge service. I worked with Joe Hoffman to find a very specific car (2026 Honda Pilot Black Edition in the color black) and Joe got me a great deal with the dealer.

CarEdge made a hard-to-find vehicle search feel easy
I had been searching for about three weeks for a very specific vehicle: a 2023 or 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek in Baja Storm. It is not a common vehicle in New England, so I kept finding examples in places like New Jersey, Florida, and Texas. The process was becoming incredibly frustrating. More than once, a dealer would tell me to come in or keep me engaged, only to suddenly say the vehicle had “just sold” and then try to push me toward a different color or another vehicle entirely. The last straw was when one dealer told me the vehicle was already sold, but I later saw it was still listed for sale and even had another salesperson from the same dealership reach out to me about it. Once I called that out, communication stopped.
That was when I reached out to CarEdge, and working with Josh completely changed the experience. I told him exactly what I wanted, and he took the time to gather all the details and seriously hunt it down. This was not an easy search, but he stayed on it. He spoke with multiple dealers, helped identify which ones were giving off red flags, and was honest with me about which dealerships were not being fully transparent.
After about three weeks, Josh found the right vehicle in New Jersey and was able to negotiate the price down significantly after speaking directly with the manager and using the concerns he had uncovered in the process. He got the price below what I was expecting to pay, which was a huge win by itself. On top of that, when I asked for advice about how to handle the dealer in person, especially around the extended warranty and any extras they might try to tack on, he gave me practical guidance that worked. Because of that, I was able to negotiate a significant discount on the extended warranty and pay for it in cash instead of rolling it into the loan.
This service was absolutely worth it. Josh handled the parts of car buying that usually make it stressful, especially when you are hunting for something specific and trying not to get manipulated by dealers. He was helpful from start to finish, and I always felt like he was actually looking out for my best interests.
I am extremely happy with my vehicle. It is exactly what I wanted and exactly what fits my family’s lifestyle. I still catch myself looking at it out the window in the morning while I drink my coffee. I highly recommend CarEdge, and especially Josh, to anyone trying to find the right vehicle without wasting time dealing with dishonest or pushy dealerships.
