I expected a better negotiation.
Also, if well protected from bad dealres, sales, a good communication from concierge is missing.
I am a migrant and had no idea how to proceed with the car purchase, so the service offered was appropriated.

I paid 49.99 while the service is in…
I paid 49.99 while the service is in beta, and so far I've been mostly impressed with the work the AI has done to help me get closer to a deal, but towards the end, the AI told me they accepted my offer, then replied again saying it hasn't heard back, so I said You said above Brian said the manager would accept my offer and the AI told me it was lying and made the whole thing up. I have heard AI lying before, but this is a service I paid for, and it's not just a white lie; it told me they accepted my offer, it lied about an offer acceptance, and that's major in my book. I thought a deal had been made, and it was lying. I'm not saying don't use the service, but be warned and keep an eye out when using it. I have screenshots of it, but I can't post them here, unfortunately.

Vehicle Inspection Poorly Done
The overall service is ok but the company used to inspect vehicles (Lemon Squad) was not as good as they could have been. They missed numerous issues that I discovered as soon as I got into the vehicle. An example is the blind spot monitor that is a $1200 repair cost. This is just one of the issues that Lemon Squad missed but the most expensive. The dealer said they made an inspection and did repairs on the vehicle. However, once I race the truck and had an independent inspection the repairs they said were completed were not actually completed. This is also a dealer I would not recommend to anyone.

I had a good overall experience using…
I had a good overall experience using the CarEdge car-buying service and would consider using it again.
The biggest value for me was having an experienced advisor help evaluate the deal, communicate with dealers, ask the right questions, review documentation, confirm the out-the-door price, and help avoid last-minute surprises. I also appreciated not having to handle the dealer negotiation process directly myself.
My search took longer than expected, but part of that was because I had a very specific set of requirements, which narrowed the pool of good candidates. That said, this was not a completely hands-off experience. I still had to stay very involved in searching inventory, reviewing candidates, and passing along vehicles that looked like strong possibilities. Some of the vehicles presented to me were outside my preferred local market or did not fully match the trim level, mileage, ownership history, or service-record profile I was looking for.
I also would not say I got an amazing bargain. The final price felt fair, but not like a huge discount off the dealer’s asking price. For me, the value of CarEdge was less about getting a massive price reduction and more about having help with due diligence, dealer communication, documentation, negotiation support, and confidence before making a used-car purchase.
Overall, I’m happy with the vehicle we bought and I do feel CarEdge added value to the process. I would use the service again, especially for a used-car purchase where condition, history, documentation, and avoiding dealer surprises matter.

Anthony seemed great
Anthony seemed great, outside of his control there were a lot of communication issues due to car edge server issues. So some of my messages weren’t received and some of his messages weren’t sent. Opportunities were lost but managed to get a car in the end.
I didn’t save any money on negotiating but got the car at advertised price.
Car had a few issues lemon squad missed in their inspection but marked good. The front brake pads were almost fully worn down and rotors had a very prominent lip on the edge ($2100) The ac didn’t work, was a blown compressor no leaks ($2400 repair). The car was missing the 2nd set of keys they advertised ($1000). The rear cargo space cover ($200) was missing. The inspector said the car’s spare was in good shape but the car doesn’t come with one. Even had the odor of a smoker in the car. Their report said the obd2 port was missing but the dealer said it was there just dislodged. The inspector didn’t come back after the obd2 port was “found.” I felt the inspector could have talked to the dealership about it and gotten a scan while he was there the first time.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We're glad Anthony delivered a great experience on his end, and we're sorry the server issues caused communication gaps that impacted your process. The inspection concerns you've raised are also something we take seriously. We'd like to look into this further and see how we can help address those outstanding items. Please reach out to [email protected] so we can work with you on a resolution.

Made my $ back, experience frustrating.
I basically made my $ back, which is ok. The process took longer than expected. Was switched to 2nd negotiator because the first one was not responsive. Found out when I drove 3 hours to pick up my car that the car only had one key that was an after-market key so there is a light on all the time alerting me of that that cannot be removed, the passenger seat is broken and the car was owned by a smoker so that was very disappointing to find out after procuring loan and driving 3 hours to pick up- car. Pretty sure I would not have purchased THAT car. Also, it would be good for you guys to walk the customer through the steps/process at the beginning to level set expectations.

Jen, thank you for the honest feedback. The communication gaps and the condition of the vehicle you received are not up to our standards, and we hear you on needing a better walkthrough of the process upfront. That's something we're actively working to improve. We're sorry this experience fell short of what you deserved, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know where we can do better.

Poor Communication, not sure I would do it again.
the process was easy, but was lacking communication. I thought when I signed up, the negotiator was going to be with me through every step. This was not the case. We had one conversation with Nick and then nothing for days until I reached out a few times and never spoke to the negotiator Nick, only a counterpart. Then was told "here's the car, here's the price" no checking with us on here's what I found, is this ok, nothing. Basically, take it or leave it. The deal was good, but felt like we had to settle and had no choice.

Paul, we appreciate the candid feedback. You're right that you should have been kept in the loop throughout the process and had more input on the final decision. Communication consistency is something we're committed to improving, and your experience is a good reminder of where we need to do better. We're glad the deal itself worked out, but we understand the process matters just as much.

Very Good, But.......
Provides a lot of good info. However, site seems to be very light on leasing info (the largest mechanism of auto acquisition). Not so helpful afterall.
