I signed up expecting them to help me find a vehicle and bring some transparency to the process, but they completely failed to deliver. They supposedly got "out-the-door" prices for me and explicitly told me I could lock in those specific deals. Unfortunately, it was all talk—none of those deals ever actually materialized.
In the end, they didn’t help me find a vehicle at all. They promise a lot about cutting through dealership games, but my experience was a total waste of time. I would not recommend their service.

made me registering for pulling the WS…
made me registering for pulling the WS for the 2024 Subaru and after doing that and downloading the pdf, it said "we're unable to provide WS for this car". TF you're asking to register then??

Don't trust CarEdge dealership reviews
On their website where you can see how they rate dealerships, they rate Kia of Frisco in Texas as an "A" rated dealer. Well using these ratings as a guide, we visited Kia of Frisco. My friend is currently in the market for a new Kia and I let the salesman know that I would be also in the near future.
I asked the salesman about any add-ons and was informed that they have a "VIP" package that's included on every car they sale and it's non-negotiable for over $2,000!
I told my friend about what the salesman told me and my friend asked the same question and was told that indeed they "provide" a VIP package on all their cars. When my friend said they didn't want it, the salesman she was talking to also told her it's non-negotiable.
Needless to say we walked!
I sent all this information to CarEdge several weeks ago (over 3 weeks) and never heard back from them but really didn't expect to.
So, here we are over three weeks later and we're ready to go looking again. So, I pull up CarEdge ratings and low and behold they still have Kia of Frisco as an "A" dealership!!!! Yet, they have two other Kia dealerships in the area listed as a "F" for doing exactly what Kia of Frisco is doing.
DON'T TRUST CAREDGE DEALERSHIP REVIEWS!!!!!
Response from caredge.comOct 21, 2026
We're sorry you had that experience at the dealership. Being told an add-on is mandatory and non-negotiable is exactly the kind of practice the Dealer Transparency Index (DTI) is meant to expose.
To explain how the DTI works: every grade is based only on out-the-door quotes our AI collects directly from dealerships. We don't accept quotes or reports from shoppers or dealers, so the DTI can't be influenced either way. We don't respond individually to submitted reports, because they aren't used in DTI grades. That's also why the grade didn't change after you contacted us.
The quotes we've collected from this dealership haven't shown a required add-on package like the one you describe. If that changes in future quotes, it will be reflected in their grade.

I first tried the pro service
I first tried the pro service. not good after I paid the $90. I found out this was only for a negotiate AI. I had to locate a vehicle and then employe the AI. I decided to go all the way with the paid concierge service $799. Josh very quickly called me and wanted to put me in a car in 7 days. I told him I could wait if I could get a better deal. he insisted waiting would not matter. after 5 days I found a truck.(Josh never located a vehicle for me)the dealer was close to my work. the web price was $42,000. Josh contacted them and his BEST deal was struck in a few hours at$50,385? later I asked Josh if he could tell me how much he saved me in $$$. no responses. im disappointed in the entire Caredge experience. I did spend over $800 but have no indication as to what the value was. i will not be using these folks again.

My experience of Car Edge was great up…
My experience of Car Edge was great up until the point I tried to get a refund for not ever using their app.
I paid for a month of the negotiation app and then decided that I didn't want to use the app to negotiate my car. Hence, I received no value from the app. However, I was told I couldn't get a refund.
Honestly, I would give a zero out of five if I could. Hiding policies like this in 10,000 words of a TOS is exactly the kind of value and culture I understood Car Edge was standing up to against car dealerships.
You can't look down your nose at car dealerships when you are engaging in the same practice. This is the definition of lack of integrity. I probably would have been more proactive, if that trust hadn't been developed with CarEdge in the first place. Now, I can see that trust was dramatically misplaced.

I was disappointed with my experience…
I was disappointed with my experience using CarEdge. I requested a refund but was told I was outside of a 72-hour refund window. I couldn't find this policy on my invoices, in the FAQ, or anywhere within my account or billing settings. I later learned it was only listed in the Terms of Use, which is not where most customers would reasonably expect to find an important refund policy.
The website was also frustrating to use. It frequently crashed, timed out, and failed to save my searches across multiple browsers (Edge, Chrome, and Safari). While searching for vehicles within a 50–200 mile radius, many dealerships were missing from the results, making the search feel incomplete. When I contacted customer support, they were unable to resolve the issues or offer much assistance.
I was also disappointed to learn that the AI Negotiator is a separate paid service and is not included in the $99 membership. Based on the marketing, I expected a more streamlined and efficient car-buying experience. Instead, I spent a significant amount of time searching multiple websites, comparing prices, and doing much of the research myself. Overall, the service did not provide the value or convenience I expected, and I would have appreciated greater transparency regarding both the refund policy and what was included with the membership.

Done with Nissan and its crappy…
Done with Nissan and its crappy dealers. I moved to Pullman, WA in early 2025 with my 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. For decades I've purchased my vehicles new and have taken them to dealers for all service, including routine oil changes/inspections. The closest Nissan dealers with service are in Coeur d'Alene and in Spokane. I work, so it's best if I can have routine oil changes/service done on a Saturday. It wasn't exactly convenient to have to drive 90 miles to get any work done, but that was my choice and commitment to get vehicle work completed by a dealer and have continuity of repair and service records. I started using the CDA dealer (Coeur d' Alene Nissan), and after three visits I said never again. The reason? It consistently took them THREE HOURS to perform routine service on what was virtually a brand-new vehicle. I could understand a one-time aberration, but it seems that is standard operating procedure. I'd already invested a three-hour round-trip from Pullman to get the car maintained, but six-plus hours was too much. Oh, and on one of those return trips from the CDA service I discovered the washer fluid was dry. If they did not check the washer fluid, what other more critical things did they overlook in their self-promoted "exceptional" vehicle service? On to Spokane and Wendell Nissan. These guys were more in line with getting service done in a timely manner (about an hour). On my third visit to have routine service just a few weeks ago, I was informed the car was in great shape but needed brake fluid replacement and that an axle seal was leaking and needed to be replaced. The axle seal was covered by the vehicle powertrain warranty, but I would have to bring the car back (again, 90 miles one-way) to Spokane to have it done on a weekday (take a vacation day off from work). I said okay, let's get both things done, I will take a day off and have the work completed. I arrived at Wendell to drop the car on the morning of the appointment, made arrangements to make the most of my day in Spokane (using Uber to get around), and get a message mid-morning from Wendell telling me they can't complete the warranty work. Why? THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE NECESSARY PARTS. WTF. I just invested a day off, the 180 mile round trip and some thumb-twiddling downtime BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE DIDN'T KNOW AHEAD OF TIME WHAT WAS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE JOB? Now I'm facing taking yet ANOTHER DAY OF TIME OFF, another 180-mile round trip just because you people screwed up. They service guy, Josh, tried to soften the blow by reducing the costs of the other work done, but it was a token gesture. He said he would contact me to reschedule once the necessary parts came in. Have I heard from him since, even after calling to ask about the status (he was "busy with another customer" when I called)? NO. Nothing. Zero, zip, zilch. Like CDA Nissan, Wendle Nissan service SUCKS. Never again. And I plan to get rid of this Pathfinder and NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH NISSAN AGAIN, PERIOD. I'm done.

Regretted sepnding $99 on CarEdge Pro
I paid $99 to join CarEdge Pro and picked a used Mazda CX-5 that I found on a dealership's website in New York. I got a subsequent email that they were working on getting me the best OTD price. That was May 2026. As of this writing (July 2026) I have not heard a word back from them. I tried going on the site to obtain a status but ONLY got a boilerplate response that someone would get back to me. Being on a limited income, that was clearly the worst $99 I could have spent.
