Update: I contacted customer service and they fixed the issues I had with both watches very quickly at no expense to me. I can only assume that I happened to get poor watches as they fully stand behind the quality of their timepieces. I wholeheartedly recommend buying from Brathwait. Original review: I had two of their watches. The automatic Swiss watch was great at first, but after 1.5 years of use it has stopped keeping good time and now loses about a minute a day. It has also gotten louder and the. ticking drives me nuts. I also had their basic quartz watch which was silent and accurate until I went swimming with it and it got water logged. I had been swimming with it dozens of times before but this time it gave up the ghost and stopped entirely. I’m extremely skeptics about their marketing of “high quality watches without the retail markup...”

I had a beautiful Automatic Minimalist for a little over 3 years and then it just stopped working. After discussions with customer service and as it was not possible to repair it at a local dealer they are sending me a new watch. Greatful for how it has been handled by the company!

Issue stated below was solved quickly, I am very happy with the quality of their watches/straps and would fully recommend them after receiving good and quick customer support in the end - They solved the issue in less than 3 days. Thank you brathwait --- shortend version of initial issue --- Ordered a strap for my brathwait watch which costed 31,49 euro including 5.93 shipping because my order was not high enough to qualify for free shipping. Received a letter from customs asking 42.96 euro tax. After asking DHL why it was so high DHL told me they did not declare ANY shipping cost (NOT EVEN A 0) and for that reason DHL applied the standard shipping cost of 92.22 euro for the calculation of the tax. So basically I have to pay tax over 123.72 euro. After reaching out to customer support they told me that on the website they declare free shipping for brathwait items and for that reason did not declare shipping cost for customs even though my invoice states shipping cost. I provided brathwait with the documents from DHL and customs.

Was happy with the delivery and style of the Classic Slim with steel mesh strap. However, within the first year I had it, it started losing time (lagging behind hours at a time). When I mentioned it to the company a day after the 1-year warranty expired, they said they couldn't do anything because it had indeed expired, even though I had waited for this problem to reoccur to make sure it was indeed a problem with the watch. More recently, the whole watch stopped working when I went swimming with it, apparently disproving its claim to be waterproof. It had never been opened and no, I wasn't diving deep. I was quite disappointed with my whole experience because I liked the business model the company was trying to achieve. However, it seems obvious you get what you pay for, or quite a bit less. * As a result of the response initiated by the company below, I’ve now received a replacement watch. Good response on their part, even if it would have been better had it not required a negative review. Crossing my fingers for better durability from this watch, and wishing the company well as it continues improving its products and customer service.

This Company has gone down hill recently. Everything in their store is available online but is sold out once it is purchased. They never contact you to tell you when it does come back in stock. They are now just after your money. There are plenty of other places to get a nice watch, just not here anymore.

Company allows you to order products that are out of stock without telling you and choose, and pay for, a delivery expectations that they can't meet. To cap it all off, only when they fail to ship according to the timescales that you have paid for it is up to the customer to find out what is going on. No proactively, no accurately managing customer expectations on purchase. Bear in mind the website did not say that the product had a waiting list. In fact it said that it was shipping after 11th November, I submitted my order on 17th November. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I am told that a refund has been arranged, but I have little hope.

Ordered a new leather strap on 4th Sept. but kept being told there was a delay again and again after I email them. Now it's 16th Nov and I'm giving up and will ask for refund. It's a real shame because I bought a beautiful watch from them in 2017 with a surprisingly tough and durable glass front. They are obviously experiencing very serious issues of cash flow/ supply/ backlog etc. But they are shooting themselves in the foot by giving customers unrealistic time frames both in direct correspondence and on the website and thereby losing TRUST of the customer. If they were more transparent and honest we wouldn't have half of these complaints. Kevin Chan

I ordered the Swiss automatic movement in February..... I have just cancelled the order today 20th of October 2019 ... basically 8 months to the day of ordering! The contact person I dealt with was fantastic!! The company however is absolutely hopeless and woefully depressing at best ! A watch that was meant to be sent out within 3 weeks, isn’t even in production 8, yes Eight months later !! Shame on you Brathwait shame on you!! After my order was cancelled “Veronica” suggested I do this as there was no delivery date insight, the refund (5/11/19) came through, finally after 4 more emails, they of course, they used the very best exchange rate favouring them to the upmost. All in all an extremely miserable experience! Be forewarned before “buying” anything get a delivery date. Personally I wouldn’t bother there are SOOO many other companies out there
