BetterHelp gave me what I was looking for. I was matched with a counselor who understood what I needed and helped achieve these goals. She pushed me to work on things to help myself and gave me the tools to do so. The platform is very user friendly and allows patrons to find a counselor that supports what they need. I have recommended this platform to several of my friends who were on the fence and they have found great benefit from it too.

This website is absolutely ATROCIOUS. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR THIS. I was INTERESTED in restarting therapy, I did NOT confirm my subscription, and I was charged over $300!! I quite literally cannot afford this. I am going to involve a lawyer because I have messaged them countless times WITHOUT a response. There is NO NUMBER to call and only an email which I guess they don't check. I WOULD GLADLY CHANGE MY REVIEW ONCE I RECEIVE A RESPONSE. DISGUSTING, APPALLING, SCAM.

I've been with BetterHelp for almost a month, and I can already see an improvement in the areas I want to work on. The system is customizable and there are lots of ways to work with a counselor. My favorite feature is the chat function. My counselor and I exchange notes throughout the week in between sessions, and that helps me feel supported even when I'm not speaking directly to my counselor. If you are on the fence, at least apply. They do offer scholarships on a sliding scale so if the issue is money, they will help out.

Even though my first therapist on this app seemed very robotic and impersonal, my second was exactly what I needed and ditching my first was simple and didn't cause any social anxiety, especially since I could tell why I didn't like him and he'd never get to reply 😅 The one I'm with now responds in a fast-ish manner and actually cares about my thoughts and self improvement, which is exactly what a therapist should care about, in my opinion
