Didn’t address my particular problems…
Didn’t address my particular problems at all unfortunately. The app matched me with a competent person but not really trained, I feel, to manage the kind of thing I needed help with. I would advise avoiding generalised apps like this and seeking a very specific kind of professional if you can find one, on your own

Insurance changed
Insurance changed and without company warning, so did my therapist. Therapist was good until BetterHelp asked her to take me back as a patient - no reply. That’s pretty crappy to do to someone needing mental health help.

Hi Cheryl, Apologies for any billing confusion -- therapists cannot make their own charges, but your insurance carrier/plan may have had a higher patient responsibility based on your deductible. Additionally, if you need to get reassigned to a previous therapist, we can generally help facilitate that as long as the therapist is still on the platform, and their licensing information is up to date. The price after both reductions for veteran stats and financial help is a joke when you can barely keep yourself from being homeless.

Eine Information zu den Kosten erhält man erst, wenn ein langer Fragenkatalog zu den Problemen, die man hat, beantwortet wurde. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hat man dann angeblich schon eine Mitgliedschaft abgeschlossen. Es gibt keine Probestunde, man muss sofort einen Monatsbeitrag vorauszahlen. Sehr unseriös, so mit Kunden umzugehen, die sich in einer Notlage befinden.

Hoodwinked into an undesired ongoing paid service.
Stated my intentions to have a single session before making a commitment to an extended service. Was continuously billed weekly. Site is designed to NOT make their terms clear and upfront, and was unable to find the process to request a cancellation anywhere on the site. Remarkable that a mental health assistance site would create an anxiety-laden process to manage the financial part of things. Highly questionable ethics in play. Pessimistic that the refund process will go well. I am pissed. First session with therapist went well. I was only looking for assistance on a particular event.

We try to make it clear that we offer access to the platform's entire suite of features as part of the payment -- not just sessions. Cancellation of ongoing payments can be done from the "Payments and credits" or "My Account" page, but our Member Success team can also help you out here if you're having issues. No experience with ADHD
No experience with ADHD I had to find out on my own. Each session led to a single conversation with the Ex only and last few minutes were what I could correct. She never had a fault. When she found a therapist for herself they only talked about the bible. Therapist do not appear to pick up on Narcissism.

KI generierte Antworten und kein Datenschutz
Meine “Therapeutin” hat mir ausführliche KI generierte Nachrichten geschickt. Nachweislich. Und damit konfrontiert hat sie es zugegeben. Außerdem war bei mindestens einer Video Session jemand anderes im Raum, den sie durch Mimik und Gestik versucht hat zur Ruhe zu bewegen. Vertraulichkeit gab es hier also leider nicht. Ich bin nachhaltig davon geprägt und habe nun Schwierigkeiten mich auf eine neue, echte Therapie einzulassen. Ich kann nur klar von BetterHelp abraten.

BetterHelp PUSHES For Permission To Sell Your Data
BetterHelp presents as Christian and client oriented, but once you join they relentlessly push you to give permission for them to release your data to ADVERTISERS, etc. That is a violation and disgusting. I quit the platform because of it. BEWARE!
