It took less than 48 hours for BetterHelp to connect me with my therapist based on my preferences!! Now I feel like I have a therapist that I trust with all my issues and concerns.

The subscription model is awful
The subscription model is awful. Do not set up an account until you are prepared to do weekly sessions. You have to keep paying regardless of how many sessions you have. It could be none at all and they will keep charging the card on file. Confirm BEFORE you sign up if your insurance will cover it. You will be stuck with the bill if you wait to find out and then learn that it is not covered. The subscription model is a nightmare for the people using the service and clearly exists to attract investors and shareholders and not benefit users.

Since most therapists recommend weekly sessions with clients, our membership billing is designed to cater to that framework while also offering access to many other platform features unique to BetterHelp. While we can provide invoices that can sometimes qualify for insurance reimbursement, we always recommend reaching out to the insurance company directly first to see what they would need included on the invoices. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! Please do not fall for it !! They are charging my family member who doesn't even have an account and won't refund !! When threatened with legal action they charged him 9 more times in one day and there is not even an account!

Hi Brianna, We truly apologize for any confusion or inconvenience here. It would not be possible for our system to charge the same account 9 times in the same day, however, these 'charges' on the bank statement may be the 9 refunds that our team processed back to the card in question. We process them at the same time, so they would likely be appearing at the same time. If you or your loved one has confirmed with your bank that these are indeed 9 additional charges all on the same day, please reply to our last email and can work with our payment processor directly to find out more information.

Easier Access
BetterHelp is easier access to getting mental health. It’s affordable comparatively to other forms of therapy. That being said, the therapist pool isn’t always a great fit. The platform, itself, does glitch during sessions. And this is an often occurrence. The payment structure is a bit confusing as well. Overall, if you find a good therapist that you can keep, it’s a good option.

Solo piensan en los cobros. No permiten comenzar una terapia si no te han cogido tu tarjeta por dos veces y cobrado. Deberían permitir una sesión de inicio para conocer a tu terapeuta. Trabajan con IA. Todas sus respuestas son automáticas.
