The therapist that was chosen to work with me was a good match. I honestly didn't know what to expect in the beginning but I can tell that growth has occurred even in a small period of time.

I like the tools available. The daily mood tracker and journal entries help me keep track of my progress as do the tracking of my goals. Many classes are offered as well.

I tried better help when I was in my lowest place. I only had Medicaid because my job didn’t offer insurance. All my local places that took Medicaid were booked for weeks out. So I scrapped together money for this. At first my therapist seemed good. She had been a licensed therapist for 30 years in my state. I shared info about me and my past that was very hard to talk about. Things that I have problems talking about. She didn’t write anything down so I know some people record so they can document later so I didn’t think anything about it. She gave some advice and told me to read some books. She listed 5 or 6 to look into that would be available at libraries. The next week, it was like a blank slate. She didn’t remember anything we talked about the week before. She didn’t remember the hard difficult stuff I brought up. So I had to retell her the whole thing. I was also feeling worse, I told her I didn’t want to end things but if I ended up gone I wouldn’t be sad. She told me go to this hospital and do a 72 evaluation. I told her I couldn’t afford that. She told me she didn’t know how to help me if I didn’t take her advice. I canceled that night. I felt my money was wasted. The entire second session was 90% me telling her the exact same things that I told her session 1. And then go to this hospital and admit yourself. If I had money for that I would have done it already. The only positive experience I had was with the group therapy sessions that you could sign up for. I don’t think I was really because of the person running it but because I was talking to other people. People who were dealing with the same things I was. Hearing skills they learned to cope and make it day to day. Do not recommend. Don’t give them money. And remember you will be warm again. Things can get better. But not with better help.

Hi Ashley, We can certainly understand you disappointment - we're sorry to hear about the experience you've described. The therapists who provide services on our platform should be following the same note-taking practices they would with their in-person clients, per their licensing guidelines. We take this feedback seriously and want to be sure our Clinical Operations team can investigate these claims further. We can also see if anything can be done on our end to help you find a new therapist, and extend your membership. I've requested the email address linked to your account so that we can follow up with you directly. Talk soon, BetterHelp Team

The Betterhelp approach is simple and efficient. I signed up, was matched with a therapist and scheduled my first session immediately. My therapist is always punctual, always helpful, always professional. Everyone can benefit from support, no matter your circumstances. And the Betterhelp service is affordable. I do all my sessions via video so that they can fit around my schedule. Can't recommend it enough.

Look, I'm a very forthright person. After 1 session, it is silly to ask for a review, isn't it? Sort of like asking Nancy Lincoln how she liked the play after her husband getting shot. AI generated websites ask for results before I have results. Is it me, or isn't that odd?

My therapist helped me through a really difficult time in my life, and continues to support me as I heal. It took me two tries to find a therapist I connected with, but the process was very simple. BetterHelp made therapy accessible to me when it otherwise wouldn't have been.
PS
My theraplst is objective, yet supportive and helpful. He raises some good points and gives homework to assist me in figuring out what would work best in my situation.
