Marriage counselor was unprofessional, biased, berating, and judgemental. He booked our time and did not offer the services advertised (at the start of the session he redirected us to individual counseling without having offered any marriage counseling). I later learned his qualifications came from an institution that is now shut down and its accreditation withdrawn. He made generic statements, promoted his personal views of traditional parenting roles, did not facilitate a constructive conversation and did not ask meaningful questions. I had a hard time committing to therapy. This app has removed any and all excuses. It is a reliable app, the therapist is top tier, and access to help is incredible.

Please don’t bother. This is not cheap. Use that same money to go to a proper qualified and licensed therapist once per month you’ll get more out of it. I tried 4 and they’re unprofessional. Nothing like a proper therapist who should provide you with a plan. Another theme is that these “therapists” don’t get their tech sorted so you spend half your session trying to get their tech sorted.

BetterHelp is the real deal! A person to me will get the therapy. I have been in therapy for many years and BetterHelp has the best package. First of all a person gets a one on one weekly. If the individual needs anything non emergency he/she can message their therapist anytime. I have received worksheets to help me understand what I am going thru or what I have been through. I journal almost every day where I can take it from my head and put it on paper. It's like telling a story about yourself. There are also group sessions to take and share your story or just listen. Lastly they have a financial aid program.
