SHE DIED...
SHE DIED... 1. I took my 14 yr. Old Chihuahua here b/c she wasn't eating, vomiting & had lost much weight. Signs of kidney issues. 2. Vet Dr. Jamie Fendley looked at her for a few minutes, came back to inform me she had Gum disease/Gingivitis. And a mild heart murmur.Prescribed Antibiotics & Pain meds (Meloxicam) NSAIDs. 3. A few days later 3-4 days on the meds my baby's health begin to decline rapidly. SHE STARTED TO BECOME DIZZY, DROOLING & COULDN'T WALK OR STAND. 4. I call back ask to speak to Dr. -who was on duty at the time of my call to inform them of her reaction to the RX & symptons to the Dr. Jamie Fendley But was placed on the phone with a tech. Even after describing the details no communication with Dr. Jamie Fendley Who actually prescribed them to her. During the brief call with the tech. I was basically told she didn't know why she was reacting but to continue the meds. No recommendation to stop meds or to bring her in to check why she was reacting so badly to these meds. 5. Very next day, I call again be her condition is worst. I'm told bring her in so we can at least try to her to eat. 6. I bring her in and am told of all the possible test and fees needed to be paid before they even look at her after what they've basically poisoned her with. I leave immediately for help somewhere else. 7. I take her immediately to a small local vet. Within 4 minutes, without blood test. Just a thorough 4 min exam. She kindly but basically tells me she is DYING of kidney failure & is not expected to live a couple days. 6 days after going to Banfield and being prescribed a RX thatvshe SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED IN HER CONDITION. 8. THAT SAME NIGHT SHE DIED. 9. Once I was able to partially get myself to stop crying & agonizing in heartache from losing her after 14 yrs. I begin to research the prescriptions Banfield Dr. Jamie Fendley prescribed to her. 10. With all truthfulness, what was prescribed to her basically rapidly killed her. This could have been prevented if her symptoms described were taken into consideration. She had all the signs & symptoms of kidney disease and THE LAST THING SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED WAS MELOXICAM a NSAIDS drug known to cause acute kidney failure and DEATH. And you're also not to prescribed these drugs to patients with heart problems, Dr. Is the one who told me she had a 3/6 heart murmur. 11. Why was a vet able to basically look at her for under 5 mins and tell me exactly what was wrong with my girl. And Banfield absolutely overlooked all the signs which ultimately caused her to go into immediate KIDNEY FAILURE AND DIE. Her kidneys could not filter that toxic prescription. This is so heartwrenching now I know why she fought so hard not to take this medicine. She knew it was killing her & I thought we had gotten her help. I wish I had taken her to the last veterinarian, she was very competent and compassionate. A Dr. Jamie Fendley who really cared beyond a corporate structure who wants money more than to help. And showed competence when diagnosing my dog. Under my pets health condition I should have been better informed and offered other treatment options then what was advised Please take your beloved pet's elsewhere to a local experienced practice for medical care. This is truly not a pet hospital. I can only pray to see her again one day as I'm picking up her cremains today. Location: Banfield Pet Hospital Winder, GA
