Vets don’t want to work for Banfield because they are overworked.
They can’t hire enough vets at their offices to take care of the patients they have accepted on their pet plans because they overwork their vets. Nobody wants to work for them. If your animal has a simple infection, they can’t be seen for weeks in AZ. Don’t sign up at Banfield. It is no longer a good company.

I wish I never set up a plan with…
I wish I never set up a plan with Banfield! It was waste of money!!! The only use they were of to me was to make me feel like I was being a good pet owner by giving them some type of "insurance".
I brought my cat in with multiple tumors growing but could not afford a x-ray at the time (plan doesn't cover). The doctor had no compassion, and refused to do surgery. If she would've just convinced me a little more that my cat needed the treatment done instead of just telling me "she seems ok, if you think she's not in any pain, just keep your eye on her, ect...." Then maybe my cat would still be here!! The day she fell ill, I tried to call Banfield to get her in for an exam but they told me they wouldn't be able to get her in for a week, and same with the next closest location!! So I had no choice to go to a emergency vet but thank God I found the one I did because they were sooo helpful!! They showed so much compassion!! They gave her the surgery, didn't even need a x-ray!!! Unfortunately there were complications afterwards and we had to put my baby girl down. But I feel as if Banfield would've taken charge originally, my baby girl would still be here today...

Banfield pet hospital is a wolf in…
Banfield pet hospital is a wolf in sheep's clothing. They charged me $480.00 for shots and a blood test for my cat Flora. I signed a contract and I told them first that I couldn't afford it. They told me I could simply pull out at any time. That was a lie. I filed a complaint with BBB and I thought the issue was resolved ay least in part. I was supposed to get billed the remaining balance and that never happened. When I complained to Banfield they told me they had no record of the BBB complaint. They are liars and thieves. I also needed help with my other cat Boo who is frightened of people - the veterinarian literally had no response. Eugene spay and neuter clinic handle Boo brilliantly and his needs were taken care of.

GET MORE CARING STAFF!
GET MORE CARING STAFF!
I’m getting really fed up with the client service at your banfield locations. Specially Reno & sparks Nevada and all of Los Angeles it is practically impossible to get a timely appointment scheduled. No dog should have to wait months to be seen by a care physician. Waiting over 2 months for a teeth cleaning appointment is unacceptable!! The prices are ridiculously high and I’m fed up with waiting on hold forever just to be told my dog can’t be seen for months. Shame on your company for not giving us more! Maybe I should take my dog to a place that cares more about his well being.
I am also really pissed off with a dr. Richardson at the sparks Nevada location. I took my dog for a teeth cleaning but she refused to do it because she told me he had an abnormal heart murmur and basically I had less than a year left with my dog. So after a week of complete depression and crying everyday and $700 dollars later at a cardiologist, he has a perfectly normal heart murmur that just needs to be monitored. HOW DARE SHE TELL ME THAT WITHOUT A COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF HIS CONDITION! She should have just said there is something I found that needs to be checked by a specialist, instead she delivered the worst news I could ever receive. I will never go back to her again!
I’m going to start looking for another care facility that won’t scam you into a year long contract with no appointments ever available.

Do not bring your pet here
Do not bring your pet here. The only thing they are good at is taking your money. If you have a sick pet you better hope they can make it 3 months until you can get an available appointment. It is November 1st and I've called the 5 closest Banfields today and NOT ONE of them has an appointment before December 30th.. I asked the last person what should I do if I have an emergency and I need a vet? She said oh you should find another vet hospital.. REALLY?!? I said I want my money back then.. oh nope can't do that, I'm locked in for another 8 months. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Run don't walk AWAY from this pet hosptal
Do NOT go to this pet hospital if you reside in Norwalk CT! I had a yearly exam for my cat at this facility. I arrived at 2p, checked in my pet, and was informed of all the procedures that would be done to her that day & was told it would take about 1-2hrs. I had a dental appt. at 2:15 right down the road from this hospital. I no sooner sat in the dental chair when my phone was blowing up. I left the dentist to find 2 VM and 4 text messages to pick up my cat immediately & since I didn't come when they first called I was going to be charged $85 for hospital stay!? The phone calls began at 2:30p, which means that NOTHING was done to my pet because no yearly exam is performed in 25mins. In addition, when I got home I found a syringe unused and filled with fluid along with a stool specimen cup also clean and unopened in my carrier. Which confirms NO EXAM was performed - yet I was threaten with an $85 fee which I didn't pay, and also my insurance was charged for a physical that was NEVER done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!

Best place to get scammed
Are you looking to get yourself taken advantage of and being involved in a scam? If so, Banfield Pet Hospital is the place you're looking for.
I've been a loyal customer for 5 years. They convinced me to join their Wellness Plan. According to them I would save A LOT of money on my visits, dewormers, dental cleaning, vaccines... All I would have to do would be pay $45 dollars every month and I would get those discounts on my visits. Sounds great, right? Except that they don't let you know when your plan is about to expire. So after paying $45 every month for 12 months ($540), when you finally take your pet to the vet to get those discounted rates they promised you, they actually charge you full price.
Here is the best part - last time they charged me for this plan was on Oct. 13, I took my pets to Banfield on Oct. 29, only 16 days after they charged me for the plan.
When I called the location I took my pets to, they said there was nothing they could do because their system said that my plan was expired. When I called the the number they have on their website for Wellness Plan information, a lady called Danielle couldn't give me a straight answer. When I asked her why I was charged on the 13th and not receive the benefits I paid for, her response was "this plan is not like a health insurance that you pay for each month" - except that IT IS because I have been paying each and every month. Needless to say, I reached out to them to sort this out and they were not willing to help.
Banfield DOES NOT value their customers and take advantage of them. This business is a scam and should not be allowed to operate. But don't take my word for it - just look over their BBB page: 1.1/5 rating, and MULTIPLE people complaining that they are being taken advantage of and not getting the service they paid for.
