Excellent Product, But Support and Shipping Are a Serious Weak Point
I’ve been using the AquaTru Classic for a while and have been really impressed with the filtration performance. It’s a great product—when it’s working. Unfortunately, the experience of maintaining the system has been much more frustrating. Recently, our AquaTru alerted us that we needed to replace the stage 1–2 filter. I ordered a replacement directly from AquaTru, but it took them a full week to ship the item, and then another 4 days to arrive—almost 2 weeks just to get a basic filter that was supposedly in stock. Once I installed the new filter, the unit stopped functioning normally. It would only run for about 45 seconds, then stop. I had to reseat the tap water tank dozens of times just to get it to process any water. I reached out to customer service thinking the new filter was defective. They responded by saying the timing was a “coincidence” and that the issue was actually due to mineral buildup. They agreed to send a descaling kit free of charge, which I appreciated—but now, I’m on business day 8 and it still hasn’t even shipped. I’m now stuck in a situation where: - My previously functional system is unusable after a filter change, - I’ve waited almost weeks for one part, - And I’m now in the middle of another multi-week wait for a kit that I’m not confident will solve the issue. All of this is frustrating enough—but what really adds insult to injury is the lack of transparency. Nowhere on their site do they clearly communicate how slow their shipping timelines are. If you’re buying an AquaTru, be prepared for an excellent product—but also be ready to wait weeks for basic support and shipping, and hope nothing goes wrong in the meantime.
