I will always choose Alaska Air if given the choice. They offer the best flight times and routes for me. I appreciate the 20 minute baggage claim guarantee and I've used it often to redeem miles when baggage doesn't arrived on-time. I also love the cheese platter and always pre-order that. I had and Alaska Airlines credit card, but a few years also, they canceled my account with zero reason (I've never paid late) and that frustrates me because I am a loyal customer. I fly every 2-3 months for work alone and have over 50k miles in my account (which admittedly isn't a ton, but for me it reflects my loyalty). Since changing to ATMOS, redeeming miles has diminished the value greatly. Even when you have enough miles for a flight, you still have to pay for a significant portion. And, the miles that are now required are astronomical. You can't supplement miles + money either so that part, I don't appreciate. The checked bag fee used to be $30 and is now $45. I only take a carry on size, but due to health issues, I cannot lift bags over my head. If I still had my Alaska credit card, that wouldn't be an issue.

Alaska Airlines was chaotic, rude, and they ruined my departure for my research trip overseas. Although I wrote a detailed summary of my experience, they offered nothing. They refused to communicate with their partner American Airlines to fix a mistake in their systems. I will never fly Alaska Airlines, and I encourage others to avoid this airline as well.

Great customer services and handle enquiry very well. Happy with their wifi and cabin layout.

We’ve flown Alaska Air for a couple of decades. It’s been our first choice to Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest. Our most recent flight was a disaster. For the flight from SD to Hawaii our 2 grandsons were moved when our flight was changed. The 3 and 7 yr olds were placed in a row without an adult. The agent was unable to make changes and we had to do so at the gate, meaning we had to arrive at the airport by 5 am rather than 6am for an 8:05 am flight. The seats were changed to make sure an our daughter was sitting next to the kids but also moved my wife and I 8 rows away in an exit row, unable to help with the kids. This flight was booked 8 months in advance and although we were notified of the time change back in April we had no notification that seats were reassigned. Needless to say Alaska will be our last choice to fly in the Future

Worst airline I’ve ever been on. Not only do they overcharge for bags, but their check in system never works, and there are never enough employees to fix it. I usually fly American, and they’ll sometimes put me on an Alaskan flight, and I always try to change to a different airline. If you want to wait forever, never get help when you ask for it, and pay more than you should compared to other airlines, fly Alaska!

My uncle passed away and I have to travel from Seattle to Florida with short notice, and during a time when Seattle is very busy with Soccer fans flying in and out. Flights are very expensive so I called both Delta and Alaska to see if there were any option that could help me get down to Florida to be with my family. The Alaska rep I spoke with was extremely rude. I explained my situation and asked if there were any other options available that I may not be aware of and they cut me off and very rudely told me I need to check for available flights on their website. I explained again that I already did that and was just curious to see if there is anything else I may have been missing and then they were silent. After sitting in silence for a few seconds, I said, "so what is on the website are my only options" and they very rudely responded yes. I then hung up on them and called Delta. Delta immediately offered condolences and explained their bereavement discount and how that might help. I am new to Seattle, have never flown Alaska before and after this experience, will never consider flying with them in the future. Delta is a much better choice, even if slightly more expensive.
