If you are searching for a health care plan for your employees stay far away from Aetna and Altius plans. This company is fraudulent and doesn't care about their plan members, especially in their time of greatest need such as emergencies. The back of the insurance card says go to any emergency room in the event of an emergency. However, this is fraudulent and a lie. If you go out of network they will refuse your claims and turn their back on you after all you and your employer have paid them. They will leave their participating members with huge medical bills and offer no support. Your employees will be suffering live changing challenges and Aetna/Altius will add to their life stress by refusing to help with their medical bills. What can be more critical for a health insurance to do than help in the time of an emergency? Your employees will go bankrupt while still being asked to pay their premiums. Avoid this company. If you care about your employees, do not use these health plans.

0 stars would be appropriate. Racist company. All they have are blacks on their commercials. There are no White, Brown, Yellow or Red. I will never do business with this racist company ever!

Asked the company if i could claim for something, they said yes, Provided a bill, then then just waited till i chased, they then said need to provide an itemized bill. I got this and provided. Chased and they said they were reaching out to the Doctor for more info. Then i chased again, 6 weeks later, they then come back and say they now need the exact procedures and also codes for them. They provided no update on what they had been doing, but now again i have to go and figure out what they now want with actual procedure. Which is odd, as these were immunization’s so the procedure, is doctor take vaccine, puts in a syringe, clean my arm, injected needle into arm, administers the vaccine. It’s seems they will do what they want to not pay, but are really quick to remind you if you have not paid them. Worst service EVER, i have had health care in 3rd world countries and it’s FAR FAR better, and cheaper. They charge the earth, for the worst care.

Signed up with offer through my union and you are locked in for a complete year. Ten months in and I can’t be reimbursed for services because of hidden clauses that is not revealed in the advertising. Every time I call customer service I get a different answer. None of the dentist are seeing patients out of about 30 dentist. List of providers is obselete. I have to travel 37 miles for care. I will not review and warn others to stay clear of this insurance. I’m about to retire and my organization used this insure. I surely won’t live a long life with this American Con!

Every time I try login in OTC for a new quarter and can finally see my login info ,it does not accept it. AFTER 3 ATTEMPS , WE WILL LOCK YOUR LOGIN. I HATE IT.

Absolute trash customer service. I was charged $225 for some claim because "This entity or provider is not recognized for coverage or cannot be located." This is a very true statement because in trying to locate Varsity Medical Group I could not find them either. I am currently on the phone with customer for the 2nd time after the first lady placed me on hold and hung up. This call has now lasted 45min and the lady will not provide me with any information on my claim as to diagnosis codes, treatment codes, or location of services so I can try and figure out what is going on. She just keeps saying that I will be updated on or before 10/8/2022. I have asked to speak to a supervisor or anyone who is available to look over the claim again to no avail.

Very bad experience wiyh customer service over trying to find out ho was and wasn't in network for labwork. The lab I usually went to all of a sudden became out of network and there was comflicting info on Aetnas web page. Many phone calls later,to people I couldn'T understand and who seemed very badly trained, I was even more confused then when I started. I can.t believe I'm thinking of returning to Humana. I have a plan with me, my kids and wife for dental as we were testing waters. The amount I pay per year exceed how much they cover which is embarrassingly sad not to mention I had to argue and struggle for dental work to be covered and all they cover is 50%. Whats the point of paying for something that pays partial when I can pay less without them?
