Do not I repeat do not go with this company. I am paying for insurance. I broke my foot a while ago. They denied me coverage to pay for my orthotics. They gave me the complete runaround saying things that I didn’t understand. They even flat out lied and said it was covered.. I now realize that was only to put me off, so that it’s now too late.. Unbelievable!!! They made it extremely hard. Why pay for something that sucks you guys stay away from this company I repeat stay away from this company. This is the worst experience I’ve ever ever had with insurance company. I’ve called them multiple times. They act really nice but it’s complete BS they are corrupt number one. They are fraud number two. They suck number three do not and I repeat. Do not use these this insurance company.

Omg this is the worst insurance
Omg this is the worst insurance. No wonder that are doing some heavy advertising on TV. DO NOT BE FOOLED. I pay through my employer and its PPO Advantage Care. You don't get anything different through a HMO. DO NOT USE THEM.

AETNA: $98,000 IN DISPUTED MEDICAL CLAIMS WHILE MY HUSBAND BATTLES CANCER
If you are considering Aetna for health insurance, please read this.
My husband was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in 2026. He underwent a radical prostatectomy at Johns Hopkins on June 23, 2026. His cancer was not completely eliminated, and he has required continuing treatment.
Instead of being able to concentrate on my husband's health, I have spent countless hours fighting Aetna over medical claims totaling approximately $98,000.
In June, Aetna initially refused to cover his scheduled cancer surgery. I spent TWO FULL DAYS dealing with Aetna, my former employer, and benefits administrators to get his coverage straightened out so the procedure could proceed.
Now, months later, I have discovered numerous unresolved claims, including a $24,708 claim for an April 15 hospitalization.
I believe Aetna was responsible for this claim under the applicable insurance and coordination-of-benefits rules. Yet I have had to pursue appeals and escalate the matter to get it reconsidered.
After contacting Aetna again in October, I was told the claim would be reprocessed. That does not erase the time, stress, or administrative burden this has placed on our family.
What infuriates me most is that we PAID for this insurance.
My husband is battling cancer. We should be concentrating on his treatment and recovery, not spending days navigating insurance denials, contradictory information, and unresolved claims.
I have filed complaints with insurance regulators and am pursuing additional federal oversight and legal guidance.
I am sharing our experience because I want other patients and families to know what we have encountered.
Aetna needs to explain why these claims were denied or delayed, resolve every claim for which it is responsible, and stop forcing patients and families to fight for benefits they are entitled to receive.
If you have experienced similar problems with Aetna, I encourage you to document your experience, preserve your Explanation of Benefits statements, and report it to the appropriate regulators.
Patients deserve accountability. Cancer patients especially deserve to focus on getting well—not fighting their insurance company.

Before you sign up with Aetna look…don't sign up with Aetna terrible company
Before you sign up with Aetna look elsewhere I've had them for 2 years and they've been the worst company I ever had I've been denied services over and over that they carry they don't live up to what they talk about they don't even return calls or emails or anything every company I deal with does want to deal with them so it's like having nobody so think before you change

Refused to provide coverage when…
Refused to provide coverage when needed. Failed to reimburse and pay claims. Not a good health insurance option.

Worst insurance company
Worst insurance company. My mother is medically able to be discharged from the hospital to a rehab facility for her broken hip and Aetnavtakes up to 7 days to approve the rehab. So she sits in the hospital waiting for a paper pusher to approve.

Extremely Disappointed with Aetna Federal Health Insursnce
If I could zero stars I would. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Aetna and the level of service I have received as a federal employee enrolled in their health insurance plan.
As someone living with diabetes, I depend on prescribed medications to properly manage my condition and maintain my health. Unfortunately, Aetna has repeatedly denied coverage for medication prescribed by my physician without providing me with a clear or reasonable explanation for these decisions.
What makes this situation more frustrating is the fact that I pay a substantial amount of money for what is supposed to be quality health insurance coverage
At what point does health and well-being of the patient become a priority. Managing a chronic medical
Condition is challenging enough without having to fight an insurance company.

Aetna is very disappointing
I had my Surgeon perform an evaluation of my left shoulder after I attempted to lift a bag of groceries out of from my suv. Unbeknownst to me they were caught in the net and I kept lifting when all hell broke loose and the pain was incredible. He determined that I most likely re-tore it as I had rotator cuff surgery in 2022. He requested an MRI and Aetna quickly said no. I have to do physical therapy first. Surgeon says not a good idea. He also isn't going to attempt a peer to peer to dicuss why I need this so I'm finding a different Surgeon. I will notify my human resources of the circumstances
