Their fake "customer service" number goes overseas and it is illegal violation of HIPPA to allow other countries access to American Healthcare data. This number is fake. 800 607 3366 All you get is 15 different countries and static and they can't be understood. Aetna should be investigated for fraud. Also with their terrible hospital indemnity plan they say you can link your primary insurance and not need to provide documents but then lie and make you submit documents anyway. Their customer service is terrible and they are rude and incompetent. Aetna sucks. I don't recommend their supplemental plans as they find a million ways not to pay you and even with direct deposit will take forever to pay you. They should be put out of business for the fake number overseas as it claims to be in LEXINGTON KENTUCKY and goes to India or another country. So they outsource American jobs too for private healthcare data. Aetna sucks. Avoid them and their supplemental plans! They will do anything not to pay you!

Aetna Medicare advantage marketing says they cover everything that original medicare covers. BIG LIE!! Aetna denied every requested procedure. The desk jockeys pretend to know more than my doctor. Aetna is a prime example of corporate greed. In the past two years Aetna has denied several requests for diagnostic MRI's prescribed by my doctor. The Aetna game is to deny and hope the member loses patients and goes elsewhere. Twice in two years I have dropped their advantage plan and returned to original medicare in order to receive Medicare coverage for COVERED procedures. Again their claim to cover everything that original covers is a damn lie, they use the power of denial as a tool to limit expenses.

Aetna CVS Health Insurance is awful even when you go to their in network doctors. They deny all major tests and make the Physicians jump through hoops which is why one of my Doctors said I was his last Aetna patient because they are so difficult. They have denied 2 MRI's I need and I guess some clients could die while waiting on approvals. I will probably end up in the ER with emergency surgery and still be fighting them. Stay far away from Aetna. They are awful and don't care about you.

These people are either criminals or so inept that the results are the same. They have made their processes so difficult for their Aetna policy holders that the result is essentially a denial of coverage through obstinance and claiming that they don't have a valid prescription. My son has a lifelong disease, it will never be cured. And yet every three months they force me to get a new prescription. Our doctor provides it, then they claim they didn't get it. I spent over four hours this time around, across 7 different phone calls just to get them to make good on the policy that I faithfully pay for every single month. Stay away! I can't say it strongly enough.

By far the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I won't waste time with details but I will say that I called them about 10 times over the course of a month (after I newly signed up) to get problems fixed with my online profile and each time I was either given the wrong information, transferred from someone who "didn't handle it" to someone else who "didn't handle it", I was told someone would follow up on certain things and then never did, I often got people who spoke broken English and I could tell they were looking up answers and then either making things up or giving me their interpretation of what they were reading, the list of PCPs on their website is very outdated (I tried 4 different PCPson their list only to be told that for differing reasons the PCP could not be used). When I asked about their list of preventative care that's covered they said there was no list. I asked for some kind of outline instead and they could not provide that either. Which makes me believe there are none, or they don't want to pay so they don't make it easy to find. It was so bad that I decided it was better to risk going without health insurance then give this business another dollar, and I cancelled. Then they kept half of my premium even though I didn't use the insurance at all because they "assumed the liability" during that time. what BS. I can't believe they are still in business. DO NOT USE CVS-Aetna!!

Aetna is the worst insurance company I have ever had. Don’t choose Aetna if you have any other options! They want to change my chemo therapy to just save money and risk my life.

CVS/Aetna raises drug prices without notice and quotes artificially high prices to base their copay charges on. Service at CVS is generally poor in all aspects, understaffed and lots of errors. Greed is the overriding concern at Aetna. For phone service, you will wait on hold and then speak to a robot before finally talking with someone overseas. Yet another example of a greed-driven American corporation. Recommend going elsewhere.

they denied gel shot twice for my knee after I had open heart surgery and just could not go through another surgery at this time and it says on here they cover it
