Gave one start because there is no option for no stars. Awful. They have denied the eye drops xydra. I have used them since 2021 with Blue Cross and Blue Shields. I made the mistake this year to switch to Aetna though Mail Handlers. Worst mistake of my life. They rather me get glaucoma or cataracts by using steroids than approve the eye drops I need for eye dry condition.

My Aetna plan covers unlimited prostate blood tests (PSA test) regardless of age at 100%. This is documented on their site. My doctor submitted a PSA claim, but Atena refused to cover it due to the wrong billing code. I put Aetna in contact with the doctor to sort this out, and it wasn't.

Aetna advantage plan made me switch from a good diabetic testing machine and straps and Lance's to Walgreens BS cheap piece of crap equipment which takes me at least 9 Lancets and test strips and still doesn't work!! I'm furious at this cheap insurance company!! Pissed is more like it!!! I should pay for my own materials and use my old set. Why would you choose something so cheap made its unreal!!

Aetna Chronic Care. They take 200 a month Social Security. And I have to pay 400 something for a colonoscopy. 475 for an Echo Cardiogram. With a 9000 something deductible. They are crooks. As soon as I can I will be changing to a better insurance company.

First of all to make you aware, it's not listed with the better business bureau of ohio, even though they have over one thousand complaints. My complaint is. My Doctor gave me a prescription and that would not fill it recent being. They say that it's available over the counter which is not she prescribed a vitamin D3 which is available over-the-counter? In 1000 units? I got to prescribe a 50000 unit per pill. Which is only available as a prescription and Aetna would not fill it.. so I take 10 tablets per week. Equal one tablet per week of the prescription.

Aetna Medicare ppo is the worst insurance I have ever had. They charge retirees way too much and did not work with me when I filed a grievance - they did not work with me. Other insurance companies charge less for same procedures.

They denied my claim for a realign for my upper denture that’s 3 years old for the reason it’s been less than 6 months my insurance didn’t even cover my denture when I originally got it in August of 2023 I will be appealing and sending proof from aspen dental where I got my denture from

So here we yet again with a major insurance company playing GOD with my health ! This time it has to do with my heart ! You know that organ in your body that keeps you ALIVE and yet for some reason Aetna is denying a critical test called an angiogram I don't need to tell you what it's for because you folks know. And then you guys go out and hire a third party to make decisions regarding my heart just because they think they know more about my heart than my heart doctor does who went to school for just that AND does this for a living ! How dare you play with my health like this....... 1st you make me pay my premium to you directly AND then you take away my extra benefits card ! And now this What in the "sam hell" did I do that is so terrible that I have to be treated so badly by your insurance company ?????? It's like you guys are sitting in your Ivory Towers throwing darts at a dart board and then saying let's pick on poor Gary Potter he doesn't have enough money to fight us so let's go after him and make his quality of life so bad that he passes and we don't have to pay anymore of his claims (how disgusting) I'm seriously one step away from contacting our attorney as well as the local media and anybody else that will listen !!! I suggest that you sit down with all of the board members of Aetna as well as the CEO ....................... The ball is in your court and I strongly that you get it together and stop playing GOD with people's lives Respectfully Gary Potter
