I recently had a great experience purchasing a car battery from Advance Auto Parts. I ordered the battery online for my wife’s car and when I went in to pick it up, it was not in stock. I spoke with Brian Battaglia and he assured me that I could get a refund or pick up the shipped-in battery later the same day, so I chose the latter. I called Brian to confirm the battery's arrival and picked it up a while later. In particular, I want to give a shout-out to Brian Battaglia. He was the associate who helped me, and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about car batteries, and he was able to answer all of my questions. He was also very patient with me, and he took the time to explain things like battery testing, warranty date placements on the batteries and also assuring I received my military discount. I would highly recommend Advance Auto Parts to anyone who needs to purchase a car battery. They have a great selection of batteries, their staff is always helpful, and their prices are very competitive. If you are in the Edgewood, Maryland area, I would also recommend asking for Brian Battaglia. He is a great asset to the Advance Auto Parts team.

This is a review of Advance Auto Parts in general, corporate/company, not for the local stores. Bought a lifetime warranty alternator and two years later it failed to charge, leaving me stranded. An expensive tow home and return to the store showed the alternator was bad on their tester. But..., they no longer have an alternator for my vehicle (older Mercedes diesel) in their system. So..., they refunded me. But the refund went to a card that is no longer valid and it did not go to my new card number (same bank/account, different card number). Repeated calls to corporate and they claim that it can take 3 months to come back to them (in this day of computerized ACH's and such, this is complete nonsense!), then they'll refund me in another way. So I'm out the money for this "lifetime" (made in China rebuild, so "lifetime" just means the lifetime of the crappy rebuild) AND have to fork out ANOTHER $200 for one from Napa. The manager at my bank wrote a letter that they've checked my account and it has had no transfers, returns, etc., in the amount that Advance claims they refunded. Advance corporate doesn't care, they're just glad that they got my money and will never refund me. I've shifted to buying my own and parts for customers vehicles from other sources now.

What a horrific company Advance Auto is - terrible made in Mexico parts that fail and no support - the speed perk gimmick is just that- please have someone at the executive level contact me

Ordered JDM Calliper covers. Satisfied with the product delivered. Could have been better, but overall satisfied.

Car wouldn't start so I had them check my battery. They said the battery and alternator were fine. After I left I called a mechanic because I figured something else was wrong. Took the car in to the shop and guess what? It was the battery. So I was charged an extra $30 for installation which would've been free at advance auto. This exact same thing happened to my father last year. I'll never go there again. Advance auto in Cressona, PA.

First time in the Orange Store and was assisted by Jonathan. Couldn't have asked for a nicer more helpful guy. I needed a light bulb for a taillight. I needed a tool to take the housing off. They didn't have one for purchase so he went to my car and used one they had in the store to help. So nice of him. Store has a good inventory and a great employee

placed an order sept 3rd for moulded radiator hose -upper and lower was told they will be there on the 6th after 1pm so i went to pick them up and it was 2 lower hoses. chris said hold on let me see if i can find an upper hose close by . so he came back and said yes he found one at the goliad store and he would have it the next day after 1pm. so again i came back the next day and chris tells me that the Goliad store didnt ship it ! its not there ! so he said let me find out whats going on, so he talked to someone on the phone and came back and said okay, I have one coming and i promise you it will be here tomorrow. so like the naïve dummy I was i went along with it and came back the next day (a 4th time ) well he had a hose when I came back but it wasnt a moulded hose ,it was a corrugated universal hose! at that point Im fuming, so i tossed the hose onto the counter and said quote: I dont want this crap its not what i ordered. I said fred was suppose to have ordered moulded hoses and he screwed it up royally. This kid chris tells me whoa ,hold on you dont have to bad mouth anybody. I said hold on, back up ! thats not an insult by telling you or fred that you dropped the ball and screwed me up. i didnt insult anybody ! I said if I bad mouth anybody,its going to be you , when i talk to you district mgr! he said well thats all thats available (ya thats all advance has) but there are tons and tons of auto part suppliers out there. but he wanted to sound smart and tell me i couldnt get an upper radiator hose for my 1970 mustang. he thought if advance didnt have it then i couldnt get it ! haha fairly stupid remark along with him accusing me of bad mouthing fred the guy who ordered the stuff for me. so ya by now im fed up with this youngster. just then fred comes out and smiles and says hi, and i smile at him and say hey fred hows things, I said man i left you with this project of ordering me these hoses and you screwed up ! He says ya I know Im sorry. which is what chris should have said to me instead of accusing me of bad mouthing fred. fred did not need chris to stick his chest out at me and try to stick up for him, fred took it like a champ and chris was a chump. And for chris to suddenly get mad when he saw that i was mad is the sign of a manipulator and a narcist. i will spend the next 30 days writing this very same review wherever i can find to write it, and if chris tries to wait on you ask for someone else before he tries to manipulate you too .
