Beware of North Carolina Company
In April of 2025, my husband purchased a battery from the Advanced Auto Parts website. He used his credit card, and we picked it up at their Store. The original price of the battery was $283.01. That was a year and a half ago. On October 9, 2026, the battery died, leaving me stranded. I had the car towed and put a new battery in. I called Advanced Auto they said to bring the defective battery back, they would refund me. I returned the battery looking for a refund. They could only give a refund in my husband's name. He is deceased. They want to give me a store credit. My car is too new to even begin to use a store credit. They have the old battery which they will get reimbursed from their supplier. Now they are being paid twice for their battery, once from us and once from their supplier. They refuse to refund me with a check. They say they can't legally. They can only send a check in my husband's name. I believe, they can issue a refund, for any reason they want, they just don't want to lose money. I believe this is just another scam that is coming down the line. Be very careful when buying from this company. I wish we would have read their reviews before we made our purchase.
