I have 4 cameras and have found their software to be full of bugs. Support is no help and they had me on hold for 30 min before disconnecting me. These cameras are cheap and they work like cheap cameras. Buyer beware!!

These cameras have been locking up my phone for years. It would take hours or sometimes the battery had to completely drain and then I could plug it in power and it would reset so I could use the phone again. Last week it locked up again and let it die but it would not respond after power was on. I did this for hours and finally left it off for a day. It still was unresponsive to any input. I had to take it to a repair store and they opened it and unplugged the battery. They recharged it for about 20 minutes and then it powered up and was responsive. I have reported this to Wyze several times. The first couple time I never got a reply. About 2 years later I tried to contact them. They asked for the phone modem, firmware and apps but then got no response from them. I don't even try to contact them anymore as it is a waste of my time. I took a hammer to them this time, so the problem is now corrected. Their tech support is nonexistence. These cameras are junk and the software is worst. Stay away and go with anything but Wyze.

Positives: customer service is great. They respond quickly and resolved my issues without hassle. Negatives: everything else. My item arrived with a damaged cord and they had to send me a new one. All the usefull features are trapped behind a paywall. The cameras are pretty useless unless you buy a subscription just to get event recording and notifications. The camera itself works fine, but it's super sensitive even on the lowest setting. I get notifications for dust floating by, lighting changes at dusk, shadows, etc. You can select which areas in the grid you want to get motion notifications for, but it was still notifying me about shadows in the non-detection zone. They told me to turn off notifications for "any other motion" and just get the AI notifications. But I have my camera (inside) at the top of my steps, pointed down at my front door, and if anyone walks inside with their head down or if they're holding something the AI feature doesn't recognize them as a person and I don't get a notification. Also, I was given a 3 month free trial of Cam Plus Pro, but they charged me after the first month. (They did refund me immediately after I sent them screenshots of my 3 month trial email.)

They have NO way of editing an order once it's placed, even 5 minutes after the fact. And with each order having a $5.99+ shipping fee, it's ridiculous. We live in 2022, how the hell can you not do something so basic? And customer support is effing useless.

I need to update my prior post, as I did receive a meaningful response from WYZE CEO, Yun Zhang who personally addressed the V1 situation, assuring me that WYZE indeed is aware of the issue and continuing to work on resolutions. Inasmuch as my prior post was quite critical, it’s only right I share the good news with my bad.

Wow, lots of horrible reviews. Not sure what all the problems, and it too bad so many have had such horrible experiences. Mine are quite different. I have two outdoor cameras, the garage camera, and two indoor cameras. I use 128G Micro SD cards in all of them and never have had any problems. (Knock on wood) I actually replaced a security camera that the security company charged me $800.00 for and it was no better than the WYZE outdoor camera.

Bad company. First they sold it for free remote viewing for 12 secs max. Then all of a sudden stops being viewed remotely because they see another way to earn more money to those who already bought. Now you need to pay monthly to view a recording. You guys are really wyze. We bought your products because it was a great deal for a price but you lost our trust when you started asking money from us costumers just to view our recording of what supposed to be free. I'll just go back to nightowl at least even if its pricey, monthly is free not like yours. You screw our trust. What a waste of product.
