The biggest issues with this software is that you cannot interrupt the process cleanly.. It just refuses to be Forced Quitted.. and you need to eject the DVD via reboot or otherwise... Other issues are that from time to time it does not indicates the correct audio channels. I had to use another ripper to get it right, the last issue is that depending on the quality of the DVD and your DVD player it aborts a lot towards the end of the film. In other words, it needs a fair bet of work,, An other problem with this software is that it cuts off the end of a movie (not always) by 6 to 8 seconds. This is a major flaw and in my opinion makes the product partly useless especially for homemade movies. Last but not least, their support is not the best. I have had 5 different individuals looking at my emails and they always ask for the same questions because they do not use case numbers. Because of all of the above they are reluctant to issue refunds on time. So be careful if you want to deal with them...

I had trouble with the initial installation which was very frustrating and I requested a refund. I was contacted the next day by Shirley who insisted the the problem could be sorted asked a couple of questions and sent another program link trial which worked.. I'm very happy with the program it took a while to sort due to the time difference but very happy with the end result.

Got WinX DVD and the video took forever and was pixelated. I asked for a refund, which resulted in a week of back and forth with them requesting more and more files from me and refusing to give me a refund. Still haven't received a refund. AVOID. UPDATE: I received a full refund after posting this review, accompanied by a request to take the review down.

Works very poorly and the service is awful! If you need service they tell you what to try in a vague way and the people who respond obviously cannot understand english very well at all! They are continuously trying to sell additional product even though they do not work any better. Save your money

Several years ago I used another product to rip my (rather large) collection of DVDs so they could be viewed via iTunes on my AppleTV. The conversion was a bit of a process as it was technical and complicated, but the job got done. A couple of months ago my 5TB external backup drive (used just for movies) had a catastrophic failure, leaving me having to repeat the process of several years before. The WinX DVD Ripper for Mac seemed to get good reports, and although it wasn't free like the other app I'd used before, I machinated for a while then finally bought it. It runs like rocket, figures most everything out for you, allows you to properly 'decrypt' certain DVDs, and the picture quality of the MP4 result is arguably as good as the DVD original. Brilliant work! Excellent for any person of whatever technical skill. I cannot give higher praise.

Adam M. from customer service is great. He/she replied to my need for assistance within less than 24 hours. I wasn't able to fully resolve my issue but Adam M. did his/her best to make it right!
