I purchased this product a year ago and only now I find out that they automatically enrolled me into an auto renewal. When I requested a refund I was told that a renewal notice was sent to me seven days prior to the impending charge date.
I did not see this, but I do not feel like fighting them so I am eating the fee.
If you buy their product make sure you check that you are not enrolled in their auto renewal (unless you want to be).

Defective software, could not handled 1/2 the DVDs I tried ripping
Tried ripping a dozen DVDs using WinXDVD, approx 1/2 could not be read by the application or the ripped file would be corrupted. Tried using a different application and everything worked perfectly.
They honoured their 30-day refund guarantee, since the product did not work great for me.

Hello Adam,
We have explained to you via email that we have never refused to process the refund for you. We just didn't receive your email requesting a refund.
Best Regards,

Pay attention to the 1-star reviews..
I can’t believe these 5 star reviews regarding the customer service are real. My experience with them has been extremely bad and disappointing.
I purchased the software because their trial version won’t let you work with a video file longer than five minutes. I did not have such a short video file to work with, so I purchased it due to the good reviews and knowing they had a 30-day money back guarantee. It turns out, the way they advertise that guarantee is very misleading, indeed.
There are major strings attached. My program crashed multiple times, or abnormally terminated the process with an error code. I uninstalled the software as I had gotten no use out of it whatsoever. When I requested my refund, I was met with a curt response from the representative telling me to take screenshots of my entire process and send them to tech support. I replied, repeating my complaint including the details of what happened, and received another response, essentially letting me know that if I couldn’t prove that their software was at fault it must be an ‘operation error.’ No, sir. I read the specs and user guide multiple times before and during use. Everything checked out on my end.
Misleading, crummy company that takes no accountability for their janky software. 0/10 do not recommend.
Update, 10/26: At the time of my original review, I had already been in touch with the representative from the Digiarty Support Team. No progress was made, just a lot of back and forth. I was appalled when I received an email from the representative letting me know that they would process my refund, "And please remove your bad review firstly."
Essentially, saying I will get my refund IF I remove my bad review. I declined to remove the review, but said I would update it once my refund was processed.
The rep. responded by saying that they would close my refund request ticket, and not contact me again (I had requested that they not contact me again unless it was to approve my refund). This is completely unethical, if not fraudulent. If they process my refund I will update my review to reflect that, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I have never had such a weird experience with customer service. I have saved every email and taken screen shots, and am reviewing my options, moving forward. Will update, regardless of how this plays out.
Final Update 11/1: Thankfully they approved my refund request after I posted my last update. My bank processed it today, and all is well. I am grateful that they refunded me, and hope that in the future they strive to make the process more customer-friendly. (I had to argue back and forth with the person helping me several times when, frankly, no emails, besides a confirmation, should have been necessary.) I'm glad it's over. For what it's worth: I know someone who used their DVD ripping software and they said it's great, so it's definitely a mixed bag with this company. If you order their products and are dissatisfied, be ready to fight for your case (and definitely take screenshots and save all correspondence, just in case).
I'm glad they did the right thing and honored their guarantee eventually. Upping my review to 2 stars because I'm happy with the outcome, but still very unhappy with the overall customer service experience.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to you.
Generally, if customers contact our support team for refund due to tech problems, our support team will try to provide tech support to see if the problem can be solved. If they can't solve the problem for you or if you do not want to solve the problem, please tell them and they will apply for a refund for you.

Half works, but doesn't do what it's advertised to do
I purchased WinX DVD Ripper Platinum in order to rip MP4s from DVDs. The free trial (limited to a 5-minute clip) worked fine, so I purchased the full product. However, it kept crashing and didn't produce MP4s - I didn't get an error code, it just vanished and nothing was produced. I contacted support, who did respond quickly, but asked me to send a screenshot of the problem (not practical, as it's hard to send a screenshot of a program that just vanishes off the screen) and to use "safe mode", which is slower. That half-worked - when I asked it to do a full title copy, it randomly chose 3 tracks out of six and ripped just them (and that was intermittent - it crashed a few times). Again, I contacted support who told me it didn't matter as it will automatically choose the "correct" file. Well, my DVD was a tutorial DVD with 6 tracks, and was about 2 hours long - the three MP4 files amounted to about an hour. It hadn't ripped the others, so I had to do them individually.
In the end, I gave up with trying to rip to MP4, and just produced ISO files instead, which I can play with VLC player. Since I just wanted to back up DVDs since my new PC doesn't have a DVD player, that's fine - and the software produced ISO files OK. The bottom line, though, is the software didn't do what it claimed to do, and is very buggy - I suspect it just doesn't work very well with Windows 10.
EDIT:
I did request a refund - initially is seemed that the 30 day money-back guarantee had caveats as you had to demonstrate that the product doesn't work at all. However, since posting this review, their support team have now been in touch with me and offered me a refund if I remove this review. I don't need a refund as I am using the software to create ISO files (not originally what I intended, but it will do) so I'm leaving the rest of the review here - but it seems that they will offer a refund if you persist.

No surround sound encoding when ripping DVDs
WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is not able to encode Dolby 5.1 when *ripping* DVDs - only in backup mode. If you select ripping it does show a list of options, which audio to include in the output file. If you choose any of the options that say "6CH" you might expect to find six separate channels in the resulting file. In fact, WinX DVD Ripper Platinum then merges the orignal 6 channels of the track into only two channels.
You only get surround the sound provided on the original included into your output, if you use one of the backup options like "Full Title Copy", "Clone DVD to ISO Image" or "Clone DVD to folder".
I had no issue with the output quality. Ripping is fast and easy if your medium is clean and intact.
However, one DVD was damaged, so the output simply stopped after encoding 1:36 hours of the 2:18 hours in the title. Unfortunately there was no error message so I assumed everything had been alright. That resulted in some disappointed faces in our home cinema.
WinX DVD Ripper Platinum did successfully back up that defective DVD to ISO with "Safe Mode" enabled. While that process took more than 2 hours to complete (rather than 20+ min for ripping) I got a backup for that DVD before it got unreadable. Well done.
All in all I am very disappointed. I intended to rip all my DVDs to a PLEX server with this program. So many people recommended WinX DVD Ripper Platinum that I bought a one year license after a quick successful test within the 5 min limit on the trial version. Home cinema without surround sound is not acceptable, neither is the failure to show an error message when ripping stops before completion.

Not worth it
The good: I bought a licence years ago and I still get updates.
The bad: I have not been able to successfully rip a DVD with winxdvd. It does not live up to its claim.
There are free open source utilities out there that get the job done reliably and fuss free.

Refund policy
Got WinX DVD and the video took forever and was pixelated. I asked for a refund, which resulted in a week of back and forth with them requesting more and more files from me and refusing to give me a refund. Still haven't received a refund. AVOID.
UPDATE: I received a full refund after posting this review, accompanied by a request to take the review down.
