The two framed likenesses of my dog and cat arrived yesterday. My sweet pets died within a year of one another and to match their whimsical personalities I decided to explore using a company who would create a digitalized art likeness of them. The representations are accurate in fur color and expression, but my cat's eyes are a deep hazel that was obvious in the photograph submitted, but her eyes on the art generated likeness are instead shades of brown. The whiskers of my dog were added as short stubs when in fact her whiskers were longer and sparse - which instead of adding whimsy, it looks contrived. The proportion of my dog is off and should be taller since she is a bigger dog, but then I chose the 8 x 10 size so that could be the reason. The black frame for my cat is a disappointment as the joints have obvious white residue (possibly glue remnants) that wasn't cleaned before the matte finish was applied and can't be cleaned off. As I was sourcing a company I looked through the West & Willow images of individuals with their pets, with the art displayed with them, all an exact replica in digitalized art form. That is not the case with my purchase. If you are reading this, please be prepared that the likeness of your pet will be the result of creative manipulation from art software. The final presentation result will have liberties taken. I like my purchase but do not love it. You get what you pay for.
