I have been trying to buy an external HD for the last two days from their web site. Firstly it requires you to sign up so you can get spammed, but also it comes up with differing prices from what you click on in some weird mystery pattern. And it is incredibly slow and you cant even contact them as that seems to require every bit of personal info bar a blood group. I have given up trying.

They sold me a busted 4tb P10 game drive. It disconnects by itself constantly when you are trying to use it and when you are copying stuff. I raised this issue to me and they said they couldnt refund me, they could only replace the drive. The drive is incredibly slow and doesn't reach the advertised speeds, so I did not want a replacement. However, since it was my only option, I moved forward with the replacement request under warranty. They never got back to me with the details to mail the defective drive back to them. Months later I'm still stuck with a broken drive. They are straight up con artists and you should avoid at all costs. scum of the earth.

Habe Western Digital meine WD MY BOOK DUO Gehäuse mit Garantie wegen eines Fehlers angemeldet(RMA) Habe eine RMA Nummer erhalten. Zusätzlich habe ich 2 Laufwerke WD RED PRO 8 TB mit über 2 Jahren Garantie angemeldet auf der gleichen RMA. Diese habe ich dann für den Versand in das Gehäuse der WD MY BOOK DUO eingebaut. Habe von Western Digital eine Adresse in Tschechien bekommen. Dort habe ich die Sendung hingeschickt. Das Packet ist dort auch angekommen. Angeblich war aber nur das Gehäuse WD MY BOOK DUO da drin. Die beiden WD RED PRO 8 TB sind angeblich nicht dort angekommen. Habe immer wieder erklärt wie und was ich versendet habe. Western Digital hat mir ein identisches Tauschgerät mit 2 Festplatten zugesendet wobei die Festplatten keine WD RED PRO waren und keinen Garantiestatus haben mit einem weißen Etikett. Ich bin Frührentner und habe sehr lange auf diese 2 qualitativ hochwertigen Festplatten gespart und dann werden diese in Tschechien geklaut und WD behauptet immer wieder sie wären nie angekommen. Immer wieder musste ich erklären warum ich die 2 Festplatten nicht mitgeschickt habe. Und immer wieder habe ich geschrieben wie ich die Sendung versendet habe. Für mich eine reine Hinhaltetaktik. RMA ist erstellt worden am 19.08.22 und auch zeitnah versendet worden. Ich möchte hier nichts erschleichen, möchte nur das was mir zusteht. Und ich habe 2 WD RED PRO 8TB eingesendet und die möchte ich auch zurück. Aber bei WD ist unfähig den Fall abzuschließen und mir meine mir zustehenden Festplatten zuzusenden. Bin inzwischen auch extrem wütend auf WD wo ja offensichtlich in Tschechien bei einem Partner der die Garantie abwickelt meine 2 WD RED PRO 8TB gestohlen wurden und der Fall nicht abschließend geklärt wird. Ich habe inzwischen die Hoffnung aufgegeben das WD die 2 Platten mit über 2 Jahren Garantie ersetzt. Wofür dann die Garantie? Diese lange Garantie auf diese sehr hochwertigen Festplatten gibt es nicht oder WD redet sich raus. Liebe Mitarbeiter, da ich wohl nicht mehr zu meinem Recht komme, machen sie weiter mit ihrer Willkür. Ich bin maßlos enttäuscht und wütend. Aber so geht man nicht mit Kunden um. Beräue mich für Produkte von WD/Western Digital entschieden zu haben. Kann ich auf jeden Fall nicht weiter empfehlen. MfG Hans - Jörg Warm

Western Digital schon immer die schlechtesten Platten von allen

By far one of the worst companies that I have came in contact with. I bought a Nas-server ("WD My Home") this summer and it has been problem since day one. The device went offline from time to time and I could never reach my files when I needed it the most. I contacted customer service, which first of all took forever to answer my mail. When I eventually came in contact with support they just gave me auto-replies with FAQ from their website. For every question I asked, they just gave me a new web-page from WD. The FAQ-answers are like a maze which makes you run in circles. At one time, they wanted a crashlog from my device, but since the device was offline I wasn't able to fix this (duuh). After almost 2-3 weeks I decided that I wanted refund since my product probably was damaged. At first they wanted to repair it, and when I said no, they said they will send me a new product if I gave them my credit card number as an "guarantee". Even though I wanted my money back ("30 day refund guarantee"). After 3-4 mails they finally understood. I sent the product back and according to their website it should take 10 business days till I get my refund. It took 12 days and they ignored my mail when I asked why it took so long time for the refund to reach me. I will never buy a product from you again. Stay away from this company and save yourself from stress.

2 Externe Festplatten gekauft, eine hat bei der ersten Nutzung schon Fehler beim kopieren von Datein, formatieren nicht möglich, Retoure beantragt, nach Tschechien geschickt, laut WD nie angekommen (im UPS Tracking nachweisbar erhalten), keine Reaktion auf E-Mail und Klärungsversuch über PayPal.

What can i say i was fooled also didn't check the reviews though that a company with this status would be more reliable!!! Ups lost the post i was charged in my paypal the amount never received anything because package is reported lost and i have to for my refund when Ups conclude the investigation how the M2 drive is lost.. iam sorry but reply to a customer sorry for the inconvenience and have patient for another 20 days to find what happened with your package that UPS lost is such an unacceptable answer!!!!
