We purchased for our senior baby. Unfortunately, we had to set her free before she could use it. It is well built; exactly as described.

After being gifted a used wheelchair for larger digs I had to replace a few parts before using it. I ordered new wheels, wheel extenders, side extenders, harness, and booty supports for my large senior golden retriever. Everything was shipped correctly in a timely manner and works exactly as intended and overall was quite affordable. Now my pup can continue to take the long strolls in the park we always enjoyed taking together, once again!

Walkin' Pets is the WORST company. They have NO customer service. Their products are over made and poorly designed, with many cheap parts that shrink or break. It is a terrible company. Rude people who don't help. Absolutely awful. And way too expensive. Do NOT buy from Walkin' Pets or Handicapped Pets. Find someone else; you'll be happier.

My dog doesn’t like the harness she has to get used to it. I only used it once. She likes the rest of the wheelchair the feet straps keep falling off I don’t like that I am afraid I am going to lose one.

Wheelchairs for my dog got stucked somewhere in transit so I wrote a mail to support. My guider was Jillian Daigle. Its important to mention that she was very professional from the first mail (and we exchanged around 15-20 mails) and was very patient. She was answering fast and respond on my every question exactly how I expected. She was also very polite. She deserves high rate. I believe she works like that with every client. If she does it, keep her! Give her a raise! :)

Our now-almost 10-year old German Shepherd (who is an XXL, 115lbs...130lbs in his prime) has been struggling with deteriorating spondylosis for about six months, and his condition was made worse by a steroid therapy treatment suggested by our vet. He can bear weight on all limbs, but can't walk very far before his back right leg collapses. The situation was becoming bleak - the dog and I both knew he wasn't getting enough exercise, and that would severely affect the quality of life in an otherwise healthy animal. For 9 years we had been going on long walks and hikes, so it was incredibly depressing. We tried various braces for his leg and back, but really needed something that would hold him up. This wheelchair was a hail-mary, and it has been truly life-saving. I wanted a way for him to still be able to use his back legs, and this turned out to be just the ticket. We have been going back to our old routes, albeit just a little shorter for an old man, but I can tire him out on every walk and get him the exercise he needs. As we all know, a tired dog is a happy dog! The wheelchair takes a little putting together but is easy enough to set up and adjust, and he seemed to quickly figure out that it was there to help him! Like the instructions say, go short and slow at first. Since we live on a short and boring dead-end street, we have to drive elsewhere for long walks, so I load this thing up into my trunk every morning, no problem. I do like that it folds flat (one of the reasons I chose it) but it fits in my SUV without folding. We've gotten super quick at putting on the harness, hooking up, and getting on our way! I want to say that I believe this is an excellent solution for any dog, but it is also for a dedicated owner. If you don't use it all the time, and it sits around collecting dust, neither of you will get used to it enough and therefore won't reap the maximum benefit. You will quickly realize that this is a new normal for you both, and although there is some grief that comes along with losing your young and able-bodied pup, the happiness you can find in doing what it takes during their golden years is something you will never regret. It's a lot of reminding yourself that "you're doing your best" and this wheelchair helps me do that. I am just so grateful!

Updating my previous review. The custom made brace is functional and provides needed support. The maker, David is great and willing to make any adjustments needed.
