This has happened again!!!
Why did you delete the access code!!!!!! I checked when I booked the service and the code was there. My walker could not get in twice in 4 days. I have wasted precious time on you stupid app because you deleted and do not save the information! Stop screwing up the app!! To add insult to this, my dog got bit on a WAG walk and there is no number to contact Wag to go over the issue. Terrible customer service...
I have contacted Wag with no response via email, facebook and support....

Almost evicted over a pet parent
I have been a pet care provider for 8 years. This past year I’ve used Wag and this past month I had a boarding with two pit bulls. It was a pick up which was no issue. When I got the dogs they were dirty. They smelled bad and had a bunch of dead skin and hair falling off. The pet parent had informed me of the skin condition the dogs had but she mad it seem small but this was beyond severe. I inform the pet parent that the smell in my apartment is getting strong because of the dogs and that I’m receiving complaints from other tenants. She didn’t care. She claimed she got them groomed but their nails were long asf and they stank. She then asks me to give them a bath and I said no cuz I’m not a groomer. She asks me if I can take them to the groomer and I had no issue with that but with the groomer you need an appt weeks in advance and their vaccine record but she took a day and a half to give it to me. The smell gets stronger day by day and 5 days in my super calls asking if someone died in apartment because people are complaining that it smells like corpse. I apologize and explain the situation. She tells me to inform the land lord and she tells me he was about to report me on my tenancy which can affect it. I’m having a mental breakdown because I don’t want to get evicted. The landlord tells me that he’s willing to not do the report if I get the dogs out of my house immediately. I called the pet owner and I explain the situation to her I’m crying while I’m talking to her and she just seems surprised and she says “I didn’t think it was that bad “. She was one aware of the condition she had her dogs in but she did not care. I’m able to ask another pet owner I work for if I keep the dogs overnight and bath them. The owner makes a fuss to get them picked up eventhough my tenancy was on the line due to her negligence. I immediately report her to wag and wag couldn’t care less. They tried to blame me and tell me that I should have told them to find a replacement sitter but who the hell would take these dogs in this condition. All they do is block her from my account. She writes a review lying about the experience saying she spoke to my super but super is Albanian and he doesn’t speak English so how could she communicate? (She’s black so Ik she doesn’t speak it) also his number is not available online so there’s no way she can communicate with him. I made a tik tok video about the experience and showing my proof of the ordeal. It’s @findinglizx and if you’d like to check out my pet care Instagram it’s @thepetgodmother. I’m getting ready to part ways with wag because it’s not fair how I almost got evicted because of a irresponsible and neglectful parent and then she lies on her review which affects my business cuz other pet owners will believe it

An honest and comprehensive review
I'm a Wag caregiver that has been working with the app for 5+ years, has completed nearly 700 services and holds a 4.9/5 rating. I've witnessed Wag evolve from a modest tech start-up trying to find it's footing to a greedy, corporate monster.
First of all, working with Wag is only worth it if you reside in a big city and you own your vehicle or have access to a comprehensive public transportation system. Otherwise, you're going to have a net loss of money with all of the gas you'll be buying. Also, the wear and tear on your vehicle is another huge factor you should consider. If you live in the suburbs or a small town, save your precious time and money and find alternate gig work.
Furthermore, Wag takes a 40% cut of every service that you complete. That's a huge percentage in comparison to comparable gig work that you can do. Getting bookings can also be an absolute nightmare if many people are simultaneously requesting bookings at the same time. If you want consistent work, you're going to have to refresh the app every 5 minutes to see what's available and you'll have to accept work that you might not want to take. If you're not quick, it's guaranteed that someone else has already requested the walk and will end up getting the booking. The culture of requesting walks is stressful and cutthroat.
Finally, working with Wag support can be a stressful and tedious process. If you have any problems as a caregiver, you'll be redirected to an impersonal and mostly unproductive messaging support system. The person you're communicating with is from a call center in an outsourced country, is probably getting paid slave wages and will only answer your questions with links to forums on the Wag app to read yourself. No real support is ever offered these days.
In short, working with Wag MIGHT be a decent, temporary side hustle if you reside in a big city but I'd recommend looking for alternate work. Also, if you're interested in utilizing Wag to care for your pup I'd proceed with caution. It might seem like the more convenient and cheaper option to go through Wag versus taking your pup to doggy dog care or using Rover. However, there are countless stories of unqualified, untrustworthy and uncaring individuals who are passing these minimal background checks and receive these "verified" statuses. I'd also implore you to read other reviews on here and see just how many pups are experiencing mishandling, abuse and even death at the hands of "verified" caregivers. I'm a dog owner myself and I'd NEVER trust this company with my precious pup.

DO.NOT.HIRE AMANDA from WAG
DO.NOT.HIRE. AMANDA. I believe is Amanda Alves. We had the worse experience. We hired her for four overnights plus a paid meet and greet the day before. She did not show up on the day of the meet and greet. When asked, she first said " stuck in traffic," which is fine, and then the story changed to " my car is not working," but promised to be there in the am. The morning after, she was asked to be there at 8 am. She did not show up and lied in the app, saying she had already started the service and had taken the dogs out and fed them, which were lies. We were at home at that time. When I called her asking if she would come told me, " yes, I have already started," to which I replied, " I am here. No, you have not," and she quickly changed her story to say she was just getting her car. She did not show up until 1 pm, only took one of my dogs out in 5 min, and left. I have security cameras in and out of my home, so I had proof. I called customer service to have her fired ASAP. The customer service was incredible and very helpful. However, they blocked this sitter from my profile, and I could not leave her a review warning others. This is something that needs to be changed. Also, the new sitter who came last minute came into my house, smoked, and brought her boyfriend. Unprofessional, to say the least, but at least she showed up. In the end, my neighbors had to end up helping me and taking my dogs. Horrible experience and i would avoid using Wag ever again!!

50% cancellation fee
Downloaded this app when our dog sitter cancelled last minute for boarding our pup. Went through the request process, got given the name of someone to take him but in the meantime had found a cheaper option. When we cancelled we found they took a 50% REDUND FEE. For no services having been provided. The lovely lady at customer services (the number for this is near impossible to find) offered us a refund as it was not clear anywhere that'd we'd be charged without having used the service. Then they called back to say they can't refund it and the money goes to 'compensating the sitter' . But the sitter hasn't done the job? The whole thing seems like it is intentionally difficult to navigate in order to make the most money. Elaborate scammers

Hi, we appreciate your feedback on the cancellation policy. More information on the cancellation policies can be found on our website at support.wagwalking.com or via the Wag! App Help section. Thank you!

Website poor; customer service worse
The website is difficult to navigate for a first time user. It did not recognize my password, directed me to get a code sent to email, it took a good 15 minutes to get the code, then site didn't recognize their own code! I couldn't get into my account. Over an hour prior to this, I had requested a walker for this evening. Site said I would receive a confirmation within 20 minutes. It's been almost 2 hours now, and no confirmation. Also, there is no way to contact an actual human being. The "help" resource provides the same 30 short responses, regardless of what question is asked. I will NOT be using this service!!! No belly rubs for you!

Do not hire Alma Panis for Overnight Care
This review is solely regarding to One Wags Walker/Sitter only, Alma Panis. We've had overnight service with Wags in the past was great. So we contacted them again for our recent vacation. We requested a 8 day Overnight Sitting and not to be gone for more than 4hrs as our Beagle does have separation anxiety especially at night. We met with Alma prior to our leaving and expressed the details and showed her the house. We believed she understood the assignment, we were wrong. Day 1 and only Day 1. She came about 2pm then left about 5pm. I messaged Alma about 7pm and asked what her schedule and plan was. No response. Come 9pm after 4hrs she still hasn't responded or came back. I contacted Wags and they couldn't get in touch with her. Then at 10pm she comes back and says she was doing Doordash. She only stayed for about 20 min. As I happened to be watching the outside cameras, she left. I immediately texted her telling her she can't leave. She assured me that she'd only be gone for 45 min to charge her car. At 1pm, no return. I started calling her and no response. At this point, snoopy was pacing in the backyard, which tells us he's in full anxiety. Not only Snoopy, but also me. Knowing my pup is feeling abandoned. Alma didn't return until 4am after many attempts from us and Wags to reach her. She did apologize and said she fell asleep. She then told us that she has multiple part time jobs and SHE can't accommodate overnight care for snoopy. Wags couldn't find a replacement and we were hours away from going out of the country for a week. At 2am, I had already began texting my son in Texas (we're in California) and my niece for emergency help. Luckily my niece was able to drop everything and stepped in. It took snoopy a couple days to bounce back, but he's not fully ok. Not only did Alma put my pet in a full anxiety, I had zero sleep, in a complete panic and was 100% stressed watching my pup also stressing. Alma should be ashamed and not be trusted with anyone's fur baby for overnight care. Your pet is not her priority, her other part times jobs are. I wouldn't trust her with a goldfish.
She is getting two stars because we left her a $100 cash tip but after she was fired, she did leave it. If she took the money, she would have received a one star.

terrible platform for pets
terrible platform for pets
Tired of this app and its antics, from my personal experience as a 3+ year user and pet care provider
I can officially say I'm done with it, they can and will not provide you with any real solution and will hold you from picking up wags because they're system flags and generalizes key words that's how robotic and heartless this app is. no real humans take your business elsewere.
