They throw you under the bus every time! When there is a problem that say "do you have insurance?" yes they say we will suspend you for trying to solicit our clients on the side... in another breath, they say you are an independent contractor. Jerks and then they say you can set your own rates... when you do they overcharge the clients in a big way and make you look bad. Scam company from the start... they don't care about their walkers at all.

worst petsitting app if you are looking for jobs as a sitter. payed my fee and after about 3 hours of trying to log into my account and change my password, I still had made no progress. emailed the support email and no one ever responded. bullsh*t company, DO NOT PAY TO BECOME A SITTER

I have been trying to sight up to be a walker for months. Literally months. I just wanted to make some extra cash but it turns out you have to pay a fee fir back round check just to have the app refuse to let you pass because of some bugs in the system or something. You’d think having so many people doing this would make them get their app together and make it actually work but it doesn’t. I paid them money n they won’t even let me schedule a walk because their system is effed. Don’t recommend. Better off just putting up flyers

I paid the money to have the background check. I asked folks that know how I provide pet care to write recommendations. All of those things where done, and I got approved to provide pet care. Little did I know, there are so few pets in my area, and the price for services is so incredibly low it makes zero sense to be a pet care provider on this platform. If you have a large service radius, your spend on gas and the drive time make it even worse. I’ve seen only two different sets of dogs pop up in the entire time I’ve been using the app. Yet, the other platform I use is busy and the rates are so much better.

I’ve always found great walkers with wag, whether it is my daily walker Shannon (who just adores my dog and she adores her right back) or asap / last minute requests. It’s so convenient too!

Edited: I am adding additional frustrations with this company. Now I can't take on assignments because the app will not allow me to go thru the "Request" process. Keep getting errors. I've missed out on assignments right in my neighborhood as a result. Had to call corporate again only to be told that technical support would have to look into it and get back to me. They still haven't got back to me from last week to answer why I can't set my own prices. The worst app I have ever worked with! As a pet care provider my experience with WAG has been horrible. Trying to set up my profile was beyond frustrating. Needed corporate to help and they are still trying to figure out why there are so many glitches on my app. You cannot set your own prices...they want me to set my prices so low its not worth doing the job. They claim my competition is charging these low fees. I know what my competitors charge and the average spread is much higher. They also dont allow for you to see what your competitors are charging prior to joining, so you're going in blind. They made me sign a 17 page contract...yes, 17 pages! What are they so afraid of? I had to pay a non refundable $40 for a criminal background check...what a rip off! Background checks cost around $25. They required 5 reviews before I can start working on my profile. Everyone got back to me saying they were being forced to sign up as a client in order to leave a review. The list of reasons why you should not go with WAG is longer than what I am writing on this review. Steer away from this company...there is a reason why they've been sued by clients so many times.
