Since Caregivers are independent business owners, their availability can shift—but adding favorites to your Preferred Caregivers list (tap the heart on their profile) can help prioritize them when they're available. While the app’s “Let Me Pick” feature lets you select your own caregiver, we know the auto-assign process can be challenging in situations like yours. The auto-assign feature is designed to ensure every pet receives timely care, but we understand it may not always fit the needs of every pet parent. If you’re ever auto-assigned a caregiver who isn’t the right fit, you can cancel without a fee. We understand that’s still not the ideal experience, which is why we’re grateful for your feedback on this app feature. We’re always looking for ways to improve the Wag! experience and genuinely appreciate suggestions like yours as we work to make the platform more supportive for everyone. At Wag!, your safety is a top priority, and we’re glad to know how valuable meet and greets are for you as a Caregiver in establishing trust and comfort with clients. While meet and greets are ideal for building rapport and trust with new clients, we also understand they aren't always feasible for on-demand or same-day services. Therefore, meet and greets are currently only available for Pet Parents to add to Sitting and Boarding services for an additional fee, compensating Caregivers for their time. In cases where a meet and greet isn't feasible, we recommend including an opt-in note when you request the service and reaching out to the Pet Parent via in-app messaging for a brief interview to ensure it’s a good fit. Your insights help us continuously improve the platform, and we’re always here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
