It is absolutely ridiculous that you expect people to pay for their background check that YOU need. I have gone through several background checks, fingerprinting and investigations with reputable agencies and would NEVER be asked to pay for those. I just wanted a fun way to spend time with dogs and make a little extra money, not pay $40 for a background check before I can even do anything. You should be ashamed.

They are great accept for automatic reviews. They say there is a three hour window but if you are just a minute late they destroy your account and ruin all of the work you have done up to that point. It makes sense to let customers leave reviews but the app leaving auto reviews is ridiculous . I agree with the 4.75 rating but let customers leave reviews as if they wanted to leave one for a service that’s not completed, THEY WOULD. Let natural progression of things happen. Please remove this feature. It could have been that you spoke to customer and told them, that you handled it with the customer anything but leaving automatic reviews that no human left! It’s not fair to the walkers. Again the customer can leave a review if they want to about a cancelled service. We don’t need wag telling the planet we are a piece of crap when they don’t know the circumstances and the walker has had hundreds of completed services prior to that. Rover doesn’t do this or leave fake reviews by an app. How ridiculous. Automatic one star with no questions? You got to be kidding me. Especially since it was handled between me and the customer . Wow. Otherwise great app. I’m not going to leave one star just bc of this feature but would like it addressed. Otherwise I love the app. I love the customers and love the payouts. Thank you for those features just please don’t leave automatic one star reviews when you don’t know the situation and it’s been resolved between two human beings.

I love using Wag! The caregivers are trustworthy and reliable. The two times out of 100+ services that have been completed where there was an issue with the caregiver, customer service was amazing in working with me and helping reschedule caregivers that were a better fit. I'm very grateful for this service so my dog, Thor, can get all his walks in, even when I'm at work. It's very convenient that I can schedule up until 10:30 at night since I work night shift. When caregivers cancel last minute, wag always finds a quick replacement. I will be continuing to use this service for years to come!

The walker called me when she was supposed to be at my house and said she thought I lived closer to her and she’s not coming to walk my dog. I work 12 hour shifts and booked this walk multiple days before. She sent me a message telling me to cancel it. I told her she needs to because I’m going to get charged a fee canceling even though it’s for her not showing up. No where to review her or fight this. Very disappointed.

Booked a 60 minute walk several days prior and an hour before the scheduled walk they said they couldn't find someone. They should inform users well in advance if they can't find a walker.

I tried wag as a walker and theres several ongoing issues: 1) very few random walks pop up, maybe 2-3 per day and if you dont request within 3 seconds, someone else gets it. 2) you cannot see details about the dog until you request, so you may end up with one who has behavioral issues. 3) App is always crashing and glitches with "oops try again" pop up, any correspondence you've had with an owner dissapears after couple days so you have no way to contact them. 4) GPS is wildly inaccurate only showing 1/3 of the distance walked. 5) had an owner confirm a walk, I drove 40 mins to uptown, no info how to get into an apartment. Finally find someone to let me in, get there, the dog is not there and owner said she canceled the walk and doesn't need me. They never refunded for wasted time/gas. 6) customer service is awful, theres no live chat option and it takes days to respond. When they do, its a generic canned response that doesn't even address the question. 7) They use unethical bait and switch practices by showing the tip the walker will receive but the owner never tips. 8) There should be a way to respond to reviews as well as review the owner. One owner left me a low rating because her senior husky did not walk 4 miles in a 90 degree heat during a 20 min drop in visit. Was refused to remove the review. 9) They encourage other walkers to snitch on their peers if they suspect you're talking to the owner outside the app, even if its just to share a photo on social media. 10) The fees they take out are extremely high and there should be way more walks and flawless customer support if youre taking 40% of profits. Save yourself a headache and either start your own business or use Rover.

Walkers confirm but then don’t show up for walk. This has happened to me multiple times and I have stopped trusting this service.
