First time customer when I ordered an AEM cold air intake on July 30, 2023 with their website saying they’ve got the part in stock. The payment process immediately started and I would get an email when the item shipped. A week later I still haven’t received an email and I called to ask why the item hasn’t shipped. I was informed it was because of the manufacturer not having the item in stock and that’s when I found out vivid racing is a drop shipper, the middle man. A little off putting that I wasn’t informed and instead had to reach out to find out about my order. Was told the part would be sent out next week around Friday, August 11 instead. Fine, it’s just a week more than what I was told originally, no biggie. Friday, August 11 comes around and I still don’t have an email confirmation. I contacted customer support and was told that vivid racing has reached out to the manufacturer through email and the manufacturer emailed back and said it won’t ship until the August 18, 2023. Vivid racing told me the part won’t be shipped until a few days later to it being changed to two weeks later with each call “pushing the order a week back”. I understand things happen but I hope this doesn’t turn into the many other one star reviews where I’ll have to fight to cancel the order if I have to wait “another week”. I don’t want to cancel it but after reading the many one star reviews and dealing with this small wait but expecting it not to take more than a week, if I’m told to wait on or around August 18, I’m canceling my order. I will update my review and rating depending on what is thrown my way when August 18 comes around. Edit: 08-27-2023 Got the part on the 18th of August. The intake tube wasn’t properly welded and has a long gash inside the tube where the welder was. The hose connector had dry rot. Contacted AEM for replacements and it took another week to get them on 08-25-2023. The new hose connector was fine but the intake STILL has the same issues as the first one. I was excited to finally install everything today and wouldn’t you know it, the heat shield doesn’t fit properly. Hole 1 lines up but then 2 and 3 don’t. Hole 2 lines up but holes 1 and 3 don’t, etc. At this point I am done and am going to return everything for a refund. This is absolutely ridiculous! I’m still keeping this review at three stars as I didn’t appreciate vivid saying they had the part in stock and then I had to wait much longer than what I was originally told.

Tried to cancel they denied it. They are giving us a hard time in returning the part. We will never do business with this company again.

Part got here earlier than expected and very pleased with my purchase.

Item was difficult to find but Vivid Racing was able to locate item and ship promptly. Very pleased.

They had the part I needed (visor for an Arai helmet) at a good price and it was delivered in a timely manner.

They cancelled my order because they didn’t have the product. Why would I expect them to have anything in stock in the future? Not a very good way to do business.
