My Vitamix blender
My Vitamix blender, while sturdy (has survived multiple moves, being dropped (on the floor, on toes, etc)), tends to result in chunkier smoothies than I prefer, no matter how long I blend it or at what speed!

Despite being a Vitamix user and never complaining about the product, I attempted to purchase a Vitamix Ascent series as a gift for a family member and was totally unable to do so. Each time, no matter that the delivery address on my account is Canadian, the Vitamix website passed on my Australian address to PayPal as I tried to pay (I tried 5 times and ended up with 5 pending charges because I had to cancel each time). I submitted a request to Customer Service via their website asking for help and no one has bothered to contact me. I would have thought that the company would take the time to make a sale - I'm leaving Canada soon and I don't see how I can accomplish my goal of gifting a Vitamix blender to a family member who could make great use of it.

Vitamix blenders are horrific. I have had 2 now and they both burn out so quickly. Garbage, in my opinion. I follow the guidelines they suggest for the best blending (liquids on bottom, then softer foods, then frozen items on top, etc...) and they still burn out. Smells like burning rubber. No more. Fool me twice, shame on me. Highly DO NOT recommend. I am so angry because they are so expensive.

I am so disappointed with my Vitamix. I owned the previous one for over 10 years and the motor still worked fine but the container was getting foggy and the blade dulled so I just thought I would buy a new one. HUGE mistake. The new model stops frequently, food gets caught under the blade, and it’s much less powerful than the original. I don’t understand why they screwed with such a great appliance. The new version is awful, don’t buy it.

Admittedly I had two Vitamix blenders (in two locations), which lasted for years. However, the most recent model I bought in July 2025 lasted only 3 months before it broke down. The parts look and feel more flimsy and “plasticy”. The problem was with the motor. Customer support is an exercise in patience. You have a small window with their opening hours, no pickup service. I brought the blender - they could not find the problem, despite keeping it over a week. No temporary replacement of course. Gave the machine back to me. It broke again. Same process. Another week without my extremely expensive blender. Finally they give me a replacement, different colour, which I could live with. But how hard can it be to find the same model. Also, it came back without the jug. More messaging and chasing. And note: If you move home with your blender to a different country, they will ONLY repair it in the country of purchase. This is the very last Vitamix product I have ever bought.

I am taking Vitamix and their repairs contractors to claims court. They stole my unit, claiming it was lost upon receipt. A basic replacement was offered which doesn't meet the original unit's specs. They are rogue with imbecile personnel.

Without doubt, this is the worst blender I've ever owned. It refuses to blend even a fairly liquidy pate, to which I've had to add MORE liquid, and it STILL won't blend. What is the point in paying this much money for a machine which requires this much babying? I'm going to have to sell it, and get a better (and vastly cheaper) blender instead. Have been looking through reviews, and there are blenders out there for a fraction of the price, that don't conk out over a few cashews that have already been soaked for 24 hours. Ridiculous. I even bought the tall jug, separately.

HUGE FAIL!! DO NOT TRUST! We loved Vitamix and had very good experience with ours so bought one for our daughter. The brand new machine broke nearly immediately and they insisted on repairing instead of replacing it and when it was returned repaired it broke instantly again. They refused to replace it and it has spent more time being repaired than being used. THIS ONCE GREAT PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A TOTAL FAIL.
