Called to speak with a customer service rep, was directed to chat on line! After a 45 minutes chat with a “live” person my question was still not answered. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I came to Verizon ready to spend over $600 upfront and nearly $200/month on a new phone, iPad, and smartwatch—but what followed was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had. My account was quietly placed on hold by the fraud prevention department without any clear communication. Instead of a notification or explanation, I was met with vague error messages on the website when trying to track my order. Over the course of three days, I called multiple times, provided all my identity documents—including a scanned copy of my Social Security Number—and followed every step I was told. Each rep gave me different and often conflicting guidance. In the end, I was told that even submitting all of that still wasn’t sufficient to lift the hold. This lack of transparency, accountability, and coordination is unacceptable—especially when I came fully prepared and eager to become a loyal customer. Verizon needs to do better.

On February 16th, I switched 3 phones and my internet from Verizon to T Mobile. On March 7th, Verizon took $437.94 from my bank account without an invoice or description of what the money was for or my permission. I then had to cancel my bank debit card after consulting with my lawyer. I paid off the phones in full with the money I received from T Mobile. Now, Verizon is claiming that I did not return the internet equipment and saying I am negligent with paying them an addition $493. I have tried to contact them several times and they refuse to help me but instead harass me with phone calls from a 'Food Lion' phone number. I am requesting a refund for the $437.94 and help with them to stop harrassing me and acting like I owe them additional money. I am a single mom who is a teacher and this is causing me a lot of stress.

I’ve been a Verizon Wireless customer for over 11 years with five active lines. I’ve never missed a single payment and have paid over $255/month for years. In all that time, I’ve never received a single upgrade or loyalty offer—nothing to reward my long-term commitment. Meanwhile, new customers are getting premium phones and steep discounts just for switching. I recently reached out via chat to ask for a more competitive plan and upgraded devices—something in line with what they offer to new subscribers. I was told flat-out that they couldn’t help and refused to escalate me to anyone from retention or customer loyalty. Verizon has made it clear they only value new customers. After more than a decade, I’m now preparing to leave. They’ve had every opportunity to make this right.

I called to disconnect the service with them because of the unjustified price, I called them and told them that I wanted to disconnect the service, she told me that she would do it and asked me to wait, and while waiting she was the one who disconnected the call, and what she did was transfer me from automatic payment to manual payment, and this is fraud so that the customer pays an additional month, I spoke with the supervisor and he was rude, more manipulative and a bigger thief I do not recommend dealing with a thief company. This is a scam, fraud, and complete stupidity.

I went into the Lynbrook, NY verizon retailer and received horrible service. The manager, Gia, was rude, impatient and charged me to transfer data onto my upgraded phone without asking whether I wanted her to. I left a negative review on Google and she called me to say that I was unfair for doing so. She proceeded to explain herself which was all junk and finally threatened to put in a "report" on me. Then she hung up on me. Wow! Pretty sad.

Verizon wifi. Been on the phone with them for more than one hour to pay a $35 bill. They couldn't set up an account, believe that. Went through all the motions with 3 reps. Still no results. Biggest company, poorest service.

I have been a Business Customer with Verizon for some years using their Voice Over Internet service. I recently needed servicing and experienced the worst possible service from their off-shore call center. Horrible. It caused me to want to cancel my service and never do business with them again. I have reduced my business services and plan to cancel my personal cellular service as well.
