From the beginning, Vagustim has been incredibly responsive to any questions I have, and they have been truly helpful. In addition, their service has been exemplary whenever I had any kind of an issue. Just exemplary! I highly recommend the device, I love mine, and the service is out of this world. 5 stars for sure!! I have had to contact customer support two times and for the most part, my situation was handled well. I first had contacted customer support to ask about the length of time I had to trial the product, and unfortunately, they responded to me outside of the return window. They apologized and allowed me to extend my trial period since the trial period ended prior to their response. The second time I contacted customer support because my ear piece snapped off of the wire (the cord caught on a cabinet and ripped out of my ear) and they responded in an appropriate amount of time and told me they were sending me a new earpiece.

I was motivated to use Vagustim to help nervous system regulation (reduce stress levels as measured by my Oura) and help with chronic IBS issues. After about 3 weeks or so I started noticing subtle changes. For example, overall my stress levels are lower on average when I consistently use my Vagustim. Also, I notice a greater ability to tolerate foods and slightly less bloating. Vagustim is only one component in my toolbox, but it's a very low effort way of helping these systemic issues. I use it nightly for 15 minutes before bed. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is because I've experienced some issues with the device itself. HOWEVER, the company has been incredibly helpful, generous, and consistently responsive, sending me a replacement device and offering other help. Overall, I think it was worth the investment and it's at a lower price point than other devices; plus, Vagustim is one of the few devices that has research behind it. I customize my settings as suggested by research (see Ruscio Institute youtube video on vagus stimulators for exact suggestions).

I became interested in this device because it has the ability to stimulate the vagus nerve on both ears, which some studies suggest is more effective. Additionally, the cost of the device is reasonable in my opinion. I ordered and received the item without delays via FedEx delivery service in 6 days. I also contacted Vagustim customer support and received an answer the next day. I think I will be able to give a more complete report after some time of regular use.

I purchased this device to treat Eosinophilic Asthma and it definitely works to decrease need for Ventolin and hopefully future rounds of prednisone. Unfortunately, it also pushes the adrenals a bit and as I also have Severe Adrenal Insufficiency I find myself in a balancing act of enough of "Sparky" to keep asthma at bay but not enough to cause an adrenal crash. Support has been awesome. While they can't address specific illnesses, they gave me plenty of general advice and direction that has helped me formulate my current plan. For asthmatics, keep the amplitude low - the studies used 1 mV.

I strongly recommend not purchasing from this company. I purchased this device in early April and within five minutes it was obvious it would not work for me. The earpieces did not fit correctly and would not stay in place. This is a basic design problem, not something that “trying longer” fixes. The company advertises a 30‑day money‑back guarantee, so I contacted customer service to initiate a return. Getting return instructions took several days and multiple messages, and customer service team repeatedly tried to pressure me into keeping the device longer instead of processing the return. I returned both the device and an unopened spare ear set, exactly as instructed. Tracking confirms the return was received. The company initially refunded only the device and not the unopened spare ear set. I had to contact them again and push for what should have been an automatic full refund. Then came the biggest issue: they refused to refund the sales tax. Despite the entire order being returned and no sale ultimately occurring, the company is keeping the sales tax. Every legitimate retailer I’ve dealt with refunds the full amount — item price and tax — on a full return. Refusing to refund sales tax on a rescinded transaction is a serious red flag. If the tax was already remitted to the state, that is something the company must reconcile with the state — not keep from the customer. Because of this, I have filed formal complaints with both the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). Between: a product that doesn’t function as advertised, an obstructive and delay-heavy return process, partial refunds that required follow‑up, and refusal to refund sales tax on a full return, I believe this company’s business practices are unethical and potentially illegal. I would not trust them with my money. Avoid at all costs.
