I normally shop in their store but decided to participate in their online “deals” for double the points and half off of some good products. I ordered 6 items and 4 of them were damaged. The box to the night cream was open and torn, the box to the body butter was open and the container had a dent, the clarifying shampoo was in a plastic bag and when I opened the bag found there was product all over the bag I couldn’t tell if the container was broken or if it had been opened and not closed, the brow gel box looked like a truck ran over it. None of the products had safety seals on the product boxes. I tried to call Online Customer Service but was on hold for 30 minutes. Needless to say that may have been my first time to shop online with Ulta and I can tell you it will be the last time. I hope this review saves someone the hassle, inconvenience and not knowing if your products were tampered with.

I placed an online order for the pikeville ky location , I added my husband as the pick up person an the rude lady running cash register would not allow him to get it for me said she didn’t see his name on the list , I will now longer be using ultra , I canceled the order

Ulta is the worst. Will have a huge promo for days but their system can't keep up and went down. I have been asking and waiting why i can't change the pick up location and it took me several hours just trying but finally decided to pick up from a location i don't like to go to. Guess what, I was told that it was out of stock! Damn! And now I am on hold for several hours. Again, damn!

I went negative in my account because they charged my card twice. now I'm told I have to wait 7 to 10 days for a refund. I asked for a confirmation number or a refund immediately over the phone. they said they can't do a refund because only one order was placed, but I was charged twice. ok. so how can you charge me TWICE for one order? I had 100.00 In gift cards. I bought 127.00 in product. however because of their ridiculous payment options...I had to order the item in store, pay out of pocket, have it shipped to me, return it to the store for a refund to my debit, use my gift card to buy an in store gift card the purchase the product at the store. however, when I placed the order initially, they charged me at the store and when it was shipped. so now, I have 2, zero balance gift cards and 137.00 charged to my bank account of which I should only have paid 27.00 out of pocket and 100.00 gift cards. so basically, through this whole ordeal, ulta has 237.00 of my money/gift cards. I have about 127.00 of product. this should be illegal. I can't be waiting 10 days for a refund. I should have only had to pay $27.00! which I could afford. thanks for ruining my birthday gifts ulta! UPDATE: it's been 12 days and no refund yet. now I have to call again and wait for 30 min for a rep to be no help at all. I'm so mad. no more business from me ulta. makes me wonder how many people don't even know they've been charged double from ulta

Yesterday was the beginning of their 21 day sale. I placed an order and at checkout it just kept buffering. Thirty minutes later it's still buffering. I check my account the money is gone. I check for a confirmation email, there isn't one. I go back to the checkout it's still buffering. After a one hour wait on hold I'm told the purchase did not go through and I'll get my money back in three to four days. I asked the rep if they were going to try and push my order through because I did still want the products, she said she could not. The rep also stated she could not honor the same price from the day before. After she confirmed the money was taken, she did nothing besides tell me it's just better to go into the store to purchase.

Very upset that my stylist was let go been going every 3 weeks to get hair color. I won’t be back and I did cancel my charge card that was in process. Not understanding why because when every time she was doing my hair, everybody from up front was asking her questions about products and she’d have to leave her position to go take care of other customers on the floor selling products because of our knowledge. I will never spend another dime at your company

First off 1.8 overall rating should tell people something. I think if you want to get hired at Ulta…the more rude and clueless you are gives you the best chances. My ordeal started at the Johnson City, TN store where I had placed a pickup order. I decided to go in because I need new hair tools, products, skincare and perfume. From the moment I walk in…I am ignored. Now, I don’t judge anyone good bad or indifferent. I’ve worked very hard for everything I have and I appreciate higher end designers. I apologize to the ladies in Johnson City who basically rolled out of bed to come to work. They are proof to the saying “you are only working for a paycheck.” Yes it’s childish fir me to talk like that and I normally do not. But, when you are not busy and I have to come and ask about my order and other products I wanted to look at…and you say “what’s up” to me…well this is the saje mentality. Mind you I had over $200 in pickup and would have spent well over $1,000 had Laura with her Easter Yellow dress and white shoes on strutting her hand tattoos off actually done her job and not lied to walk away. Apparently I wasn’t going fast enough so she didn’t have time…well stupid you should have as this would have been 5 stars and not the one that isn’t low enough. So, I pick up several other items and see her at the checkout…she knows she lied so I lay them all down and ask which color she preferred and then chose the opposite. When I get home my eye shadow is broken and the colors are wrong. Air in Customer Service since I drove 45 minutes one way. I assure you the Customer service online via chat and text are even worse. Three people would say what a pleasure to assist me and then never respond. I see why Ulta is not much competition to Sephora and others. If you want to be treated disrespectfully…Ulta is for you. There they will not disappoint. But, if you are like me with common sense…shops elsewhere!!!
