Ulta BeautyReviews of ulta.com

The place you "MUST" shop at for Christmas gift ideas. The Ulta store on Erie Blvd in Dewitt, NY. Experience was so great from the excellent customer service to everyone who went out of their way to show me promotions, new products and introduce me to different scents for women and men. What a great time shopping for gifts for the special people in my life. Thank you Gina, Kay, Hawraa and Kirsten. I returned to the store 3 times to shop. What does that tell ya?

Ulta ground shipping is awful. Had an order that had a shipping label produced, and 8 business days later it has still not shipped. Their customer service will not do anything until it has been 10 business days.

Slow shipping times, my order was canceled/refunded for no reason (I didn't ask for a cancelation or refund and received no explanation why my order was canceled), and truly terrible customer service. I'm never purchasing from Ulta again and will stick to Sephora!

Our ulta is like a garage sale with a 30 minute wait in line. So if this interests you, ulta at Bellis Fair Mall is the spot.

Really, a 0/5. Feels like doing business with scammers. Sent Shea Moisture Argan Oil instead of a Bare Minerals makeup brush, 30 some dollars. Charged for brush. Will not refund or replace. Numerous back and forth emails and a chat where they claim my phone number is not current. Checked the online account - phone number is correct and they have not called that number today. Also, twice gave them the number via email. Years long, Platinum customer. Recently bought a high dollar hair dryer from them. Still, they don't care. Say they can do nothing if they can't reach me by phone, whilst still wanting me to upload a photo of the Argan oil. Trashy, dishonest, uncouth, etc.etc. Well. No more purchases from me if they cannot be trusted to package correctly in the first place and fix errors when they happen. Also, if they can take orders and take your money via online, they can issue refunds the same way.

Their online ordering is horrible. EVERY SINGLE time I have tried ordering and added items in my cart and qualified for the free gift, they have ironically run out of stock before I can check out. I can see this happening once, but seriously, every time. Also, the bundle and save, I have items that qualify in my cart, but no where can I find that the freebie is added or how to add it. Last year, I had issues during black Friday where my credit card wouldn't go through, again ironically during a sale, and until the sale expired.

Ulta customer service is awful. They will not issue a refund or send missing items for an online order. Sephora offers the best customer service and resolves issues. Will not be shopping at ulta anymore.

Pay attention to your Rewards. I noticed I did not receive rewards points for a transaction 2 weeks earlier. I reached out and they issued the points, but did not capture the x5 multiplier for one of the items. That info is never on the receipt and it’s basically impossible to find a record of the promotion two weeks later. When I made that purchase, I was looking at a couple different options, but specifically chose that product because of the multiplier promo, so I’m certain, but I have no proof. Until now, I just assumed Ulta was ethical and I was receiving my points. 1/31/25 - I was not credited for another transaction worth 1561 points. It’s infuriating. I’m going to spend my rewards and break up with Ulta.
