About Traveler's Joy

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or quotes (or just want to say "Hi!"), always feel free to contact us! You are the lifeblood of our business and the keeper of our hearts.

The website was very easy to set up and fun to do. Our guests loved it. We had no problems getting the money to our account. It was quick, easy, and convenient!

Traveler's Joy was convenient and user friendly. My ONLY complaint is that they take a portion of the money. While I completely understand that they need to make a profit (and that all similar sites do the same), many guests preferred to either just write us a check or give cash, which kind of defeated the purpose. But overall my experience was very positive.

Hi Jill, Thanks for your feedback. In order for us to accept credit cards and pay our team a living wage, we must charge a fee. Three years ago we enabled the option for couples to receive gifts via check or cash from the gift giver. For those gifts there is no fee. I'm sorry you were not aware of that option as that would have eliminated all fees for gifts given that way. Thanks again for your feedback. It is very much appreciated. I liked that it was intuitive to create …
I liked that it was intuitive to create the different things that we were planning to do in Croatia. I would have liked maybe more options with how to make the backgrounds or maybe a different way of organizing the menu. It felt like you had to scroll a lot rather than being able to click on a category. I did like the thank you list. That was helpful.

Awesome!
Traveler's Joy was super easy to navigate and figure out. You can either add excursions you want to go on with the amount they will cost so guests can "pay" for that or they can just gift a gift of how much ever they want to give not towards a specific excursion. The process of obtaining the funds is easy too and we opted for direct deposit. We had no issues with anything and loved the idea of a honeymoon registry! I would highly recommend Traveler's Joy to any Bride and Groom!

This website helped me and my (then) fiancé receive monetary gifts to apply towards our honeymoon. It was easy to setup and easy for the gift givers to use. Receiving the gifts was simple as well.
