About Traveler's Joy

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or quotes (or just want to say "Hi!"), always feel free to contact us! You are the lifeblood of our business and the keeper of our hearts.

Traveler's Joy is amazing! Family and friends can choose the amount they wanted to give and it was very simple to use. We got our money fast too!

What a wonderful way for us to receive …
What a wonderful way for us to receive a memorable gift from our loved ones and friends without having to set up a registry for items we don't need. We're very excited to head on our honeymoon this October and had a great experience using Traveler's Joy.

Easy to use and easy to redeem
Easy to use and easy to redeem. Of course they keep a percentage of what people give you so that kinda sucks. Overall pleased with the website

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your review and feedback. Traveler's Joy is always trying to find ways to reduce its costs so that we can lower our fee and provide greater value to our couples. Traveler's Joy is one of the least expensive honeymoon registry services that accepts credit cards. Unfortunately, credit card companies continue to keep fees high for small businesses like Traveler's Joy (up to 4% per transaction) and it is only the largest companies like Amazon and Walmart that receive lower rates. It would be impossible for Traveler's Joy to accept credit cards, have 24/7 customer service, and pay a living wage to the people of Traveler's Joy if it did not have a fee. I assure you everyone on our team is working hard to find a way to lower the fee. In 2015 we created the functionality so couples could receive gifts via cash and checks at the wedding or via mail. With this option, there is no fee. Did you consider using this option? Thanks again for your feedback. I hope the response above provides more background on why there is a fee. Traveler's Joy is a great way to plan your dream honeymoon when you already have all the kitchen gadgets you need! Your guests will have the easiest way to help you plan for your dream vacation as husband and wife. And the transferring of funds was done in 2 minutes! Thank you so much Traveler's Joy for making our dream honeymoon to Italy and Greece a reality!
